ok our team is getting the new brine truimph helmets. and brine sent our coach some sample helmets and they are so small, the L/XL barley fits anyone on the team because they are soooo tight on the sides. does anyone know about this problem yet because i guess there have been alot of complaints about the sizing of the helments

I thought that there was a knob on the back to make it bigger or smaller. try getting some input from someone who owns one.

Yeah, it's sort of known around these parts that no one but the tiniest of head can fit in a Triumph. That being said, they're coming out with a larger one...

Even with that as wide as it can be, it's still pretty tight. I, who have a fairly small head, (I use the red pad on a CPX) can barely fit inside it.

thats not good i didnt know about that, does anyone know if you can still but the the newest triads?

I have tried one on and can confirm that they are pretty small and tight on the sides. I tried a Large/XL one on and it felt like a medium. I have also seen the back knob completely break-off. Guess I'll just stick to my CPX and XPR (Which is a great Brine Helmet by the way, no complaints about that one.)

KC- I don't think the triads or XPR's are manufactured anymore.

How would you compare a l/xl xpr to a l/xl triumph? I ordered a triumph a while ago and now hearing this makes me worry that it will be to small.

The XPR fits perfectly on my head but the Triumph is skinny and tall so it puts pressure on my ears. And it's tough to get it adjusted to the way a helmet should be worn (in the top space between the bars), the Triumph's eye-level compared to mine has the top bar right in the middle of my site line.
The helmet has potential but they need to tweak a few things.

I recently received a triumph and it is small. looks awesome though but i have difficulty getting on and off easiy.

The Large Triumph is about the size of the "old" Large (they've changed their size chart now) ST2.

I used to wear a medium ST2 (now the new large), but the medium Triumph is a lot tighter than it.

Still, has great vision and a chrome mask as standard.

The dial thing would work really well, if you had a head small enough to need it.

This is kinda no fun.
I wanted to try these and I thought they had potential, But for me it looks out of the picture, because I use no extra padding in my CPX..

So much for us guys with big craniums.

This is probably why they gave you guys samples before the season even starts. If they know how to run a business, you'll have decent helmets by the start of the season.

This a typical flaw of most Brine helmets.
The triad and triumph helmets are tiny, not to mention that they're prone to breaking.
The Warrior helmets and Gait helmets are tight fitting too so you might not consider them.
Cascade and Riddell are the way to go in my oppinion.
They have the helmets that have the greatest fit, protection and vision.
I own a Riddell myself and i was amazed when i received it.
After wearing it a couple of times the helmet becomes so snug and comfy.

I liked the XP3/XPR more than the Triumph in Duke colors. Also it should be a Blue shell, and black visor.

I have the a huge head and it fits fine, it has a lot of room. It seems like it is small when trying to get into it becuase of the ear padding. But the padding is so comferatble it dosent bother me.

mine saw its first game and loss on saturday, it was actually really comfortable and airy during the game. The problem is getting in and out of it. Once i'm in its great.

:bull: Ok everyone we got our team order in today from brine....
and the sizing on these things are way off......
So buyers beware... I shipped ours back ASAP.

If you wore a Cascade Cpro or Clh2 in a s/m comfortably you will not fit in the brine triumph small/medium... its extremely small. If the cascade small medium left you with plenty of room... your either 12 or you will fit in the triumph...

as sweet as the helmet looks Im angry cause I have to wait for new ones.

So moral of the story is order more large/xl's which I have a feeling they will be small too....
AND I MEASURED SO IM EVEN MORE PISSSSSED... I shouldnt be subject to restocking fees.

been using my Triumph a little more now and each time it gets easier and easier to get on.

The gel in it is suppose to have some sort of memory, and at the moment it seems to tbe working really well.

I'm glad I didn't send it back or sell it based on my first trial.

Yeah duh I checked the sizes...

and the helmet is extremely small... I tried it on 6 people.. I have 6 of em sitting right next to me. I would recommend these sizings instead... 4 of em were measured and fit within the parameters of the original 22-23.5 the other just blind ordered figuring the cascade sizes would correspond. Needless to say nobody fit. Anyway if you cant get into the helmet without any part of your face touchin the chin plastic you should go large/xl.

Recommended adjusted sizing:
S/M: 21-22.5
L/XL: 22.5-24.5

this is not from personal experience but a guy who has a triumph told me that at first it was really tight and hard to put on but after a while the memory foam adjusts and its really easy to put on so i just thought i'd put it out there

Wear the helmet for about 6 weeks and the memory foam should take shape to your head, and it will fit a lot better.
