View Full Version : Anybody use a score sheet?

Just outta curiosity, I was thumbing through the "Lacrosse for Dummies" book in the bookstore the other day, and found a score sheet that could be torn out and used to score a game, with columns for players, goals, shots on goal, etc.
Has anybody kept score of a game just for the heck of it, like a lotta baseball fans do? Or is it more for the journalists? How hard and/or easy is it to do so?
What's the best scorebook to use?
Apologies if this question has already been asked -- I searched for it but didn't find anything. If there is a link out there to a thread on this subject, feel free to let me know.
Thanks!

i did it for my team when i broke my arm last year and its really simple, its pretty much self explanitory.
the score sheet is for anybody and you can do it just for the heck of it but you probably dont need to if you play varsity b cuz the coaches hav a guy doing that most of the time and there really is no best scorebook. there all really the same but if it helps when i kept the book i used the Brine one

If I'm doing the 30 second clock, we're talking box here, I usually end up doing the score sheet and the score clock too. The parents are just way too incompetent.

You know I was looking around for different computer based programs and found some really great ones. There was one that basically was connected to the scoreboard as well as the internet and would update the website instantaneously. Pretty impressive. May be more than you are looking for, but was amazed by the technology. Still keeping stats during the game is very important to see trends of not only the game, but of your season.

Hey guys, I found a very complete site for managing the entire Lacrosse team and it appears to be free until the end of March.

We are using it. It has a very good stats package and they told me a printable score sheet is going up soon.
