i stopped the video on 12.6 sec and you could see the ball in his face mask.

if this is such a problem, is cascade doing anything about it? how about other helmet makes... i mean, dang- that looked like it scared the crap outta everyone there!

whats going on erik? if you were wondering im the kid that shot it into the kids mask. i actually felt really bad after it happend, the kid is a warrior...he got back in the game and still played d for them.

For one, this thread is EXTREMELY old. No problem though.
The ball did not go THROUGH, but got stuck halfway in.

correction LCNlaxman the ball really did go all the way through his mask and it was stuck against his eye before he took his helmet off. One of our players even after the helmet is taken off takes the ball out of the inside of the helemt.
There's a 60+ post thread on this from about a year ago, I had taken a screenshot with the ball clearly 80% through the helmet at least, RYU has it so if it won't post, shucks, but you can freeze it frame by frame and see it. Plus, the dude goes down hard at the same time, indicating it got through at least somewhat.

Its not a problem with the helmets, its a problem with the balls!! When you shoot the newer balls(STX, Warrior 2002 and up), if you can shoot them over 85 to 90mph they turn oblique(oval in composition) sometimes. We had a problem with these balls in Canada and went back to the Brine and Debeer balls on the West Coast in Senior. Its definately not a problem with the helmet.

As far as I'm concerned that ball wouldn't have gone into any CPX or XP so I think it's still a problem with the helmet. XP's had their facemasks replaced because certain scoops could go through it, does that mean it's a problem with the certain scoops, or the helmet?

Are we still talking about the scoops or the balls, because there is a big difference and are two totally different things!! In the case of the balls and the cascades i believe it is the balls, with the XP's it was proven to be the actual helmet, so until Cascade does a recall or someone proves otherwise i am going to say it was the ball.
