Did you know that stepping in front of the person whipping the ball at the net is very painful? My leg still hurts from last night lol Yeah, I know that makes sense and probably shouldn't have stepped in front of her but damn if I was gonna let her get another goal! lol

you guys know that uslacrosse is considering (empahsis on the word "considering") making it illegal for players (guys at least) to step in front of a shot on purpose? it's cause of the deaths related to lacrosse (salutes Cornell) and a lack of protection/ability to protect from that kind of injury... what do y'all think about it?

the girl knew I was going to step in front of her. she didn't want to hit me so she thru it under but it still nailed me in the leg near my ankle. I play for the Women's Box Lacrosse Association and they aren't considering anything like that :\

i think it's only being considered for the men's game, and prolly not in canada, but still...

just so ya know, i don't think they should make it illegal... i'm a goalie and any shot i don't have to block is another automatic save, so keep it up

our goalie blocked a shot and it bounced off her but it started rolling back towards the net so she jumped on top of it. it was funny, we heard her holler then seen her lying on her stomach hehe our goalie rocks!

yep- goalies are just awesome people in general, though i gotta admit, i think my d is pretty much as cool- it takes guts to step in front of a ball, pads or not!

The fact US lacrosse is thinking of doing this ROYALLY peeves me...
I was the one that wrote the article about Biordi on LN...
I played for Northport (before Lou, but still being an alum you hear more about it)...
This rule would be a step in the wrong direction...goalies are still sitting ducks, and how many times have other players gotten hit and not tried to step in front of a shot...focus on better/new equipment and an AED at every school

Theres this one defencemen on my team that dives infront of a person shooting all the time. He comes out of games with huge bruises.

haha in practice one kid was walking about 15 yards behind the goal looking for his ball and we were practicing under arm shots and one kid missed and beaned the kid in the helmt from a good 60 yards away, poor kid went flying...

On another note was playing and blocked a shot with the top of my helmet, flew back and hit the kid in the lower rib cage, i gotta kick outta that one

in womens field lax, youre not allowed to step in front of the shot (if youre not the goalie). but ive been hit a few times just goin to the net to clear out all the balls and then some really smart kid thinks its funny to shoot at you. its ok tho, i got her back. she turned around and i nailed her butt. id like to see her try to sit down after that one

This one middie playing d got nailed in the dome, and was out for the rest of the quarter. It was from like 10 feet away and got him square on the forehead. It was pretty funny.
