Well I got my cast off 2 weeks ago. I tore my tendon pad and small fracture in a bone in my wrist. My wrist is pretty week, my shot speed has gone down significantly. Are there any exercises I can do too build that strength that back up. And then anything after that to improve shot speed further. I was talking with an old coach of mine. Something about a weight tied to a broom stick and twisting like revving a motor cycle?

Go to a physical therapist. This is not something you want to mess up.

Ditto. When you think about it, why trust advice written by some kid off the internet? If you want to make sure your wrist heals and rehabs correctly, ask a physiotherapist or your doctor.

the broom one your coach was talking about was probably this. do the excersize where you take a bar with a rope attached. then put a weight on the other end of the rope, and roll the bar continuously (like a motercycle) therefore lifting the weight of the ground using mainly your wrists. the key is to keep your arms straight out.

and i am not really sure if this site is legit, but it looks like it has some good excercises. Hope i helped. http://www.drfoot.co.uk/wrist_pain/Wrist%20Exercises.htm

check with your physical therrapist you need to start off slow and not rush recovery, the reasons why your shot speed went down is due to your inability to snap your wrists like you used to be able , after youve gotten the okay from your doctor and PT and built up somewhat back to your normal strength then you can come back and ask us for some advice

''Beating it'' is the cure for everything known to man kind. Not only does it offer substantial health benefits...it...well who knows what else it does.

One handed passing will also help, but your doctor should guide you on how to recover.

maybe practice wrap checking? I'm not sure if this would strengthen the part of your arm you need to strengthen, but you will get good at wrap checking
