View Full Version : Love Pocket: The Talent223 way

So, I decided to jump on the love pocket bandwagon to see what all the hype is about.
I did a few things differently though. I used my own version of "the knot" and I didn't do the sidewalls the exact same way. I have to say, the knot did form a very nice channel right away. Other than that, its nothing special. Just a low channeled pocket. It is pretty nice, but the low pocket just isn't my thing. I might replace it with a higher pocket in the next few days. The pocket is a little bit bigger than the pictures show.
Just so everyone knows, "the knot" is little more than an interlocked sidewall, just on that one hole. It might hold it a little tighter, but not by much.

yikes... you know i never really thought the love pocket was anything special.... until now.. that thing is literally PERFECT. there is not one thing you could do to make it better, other than give it to me. hahaha. but seriously there is a reason the word talent is in your member name.

Really? I tried to do the one gigo made a mini tutorial for, but the pictures were too bad to figure out, so I kinda made this up. I don't think its "right"

Thats how I learned how to do mine and Gigo confirmed it was right...
You have to make it a little tighter though.

It is much tighter. That is from before I finished stringing it. You can see the next sidewall hole isn't even being used yet.

Talent i have to say, you have become the premire stringer on this forum the past couple of months. Everything is always perfect, if its custom or mesh whenever i see your name i know its gonna be a good one. Keep up the good stringing.

Yea, the pic is sideways. My dad fixed it up so none of the wires are showing anymore. I might post a picture of it, and I might not, idk.

Nice, my parents bought a 32" Samsung HDTV and a 40" Samsung HDTV when the Rear-projection broke.
Gears of War + 1080i = Hella awesome(I can't run 1080p)

It throws good. Very smooth release, but I like a little bit of whip in my sticks, and this doesn't have that much yet. If I play with the shooters a little I could fix that, but I haven't had the time.

cant wait. tomorrows going to be a great day. first i get to go to a Dragons game, then string a love pocket!

There is the beauty of stringing, you can do anything however you want, as long as it works. Who cares if you're "allowed" to do it that way. Yea, I know my U shooter isn't done "right," but you know what, who gives a crap, it threw amazing before I took it out, and thats all that matters.

Hey is there any way you could put up a tutorial, i am a new at string and this pocket doesnt look to complicated... But i have also heard that a extra hole is needed and has to be drilled in hip me up with a message on my profile if that is okay with you

They would have to get permission from Lyle or Mario at Callax Co., because I'm pretty sure it's patented or something. MurderLax and Gigo were working on it, but I haven't heard an update.

Talent strikes again. Imo you are the best at stringing here. Customs always symetrical and interesting, mesh always perfect. Nice job.
And that setup looks pretty fly
