After my Cyber broke yearly last year I was disappointed that it was no longer usable. So I started trying different ways try and fix it. Unfortunately none of them worked out except my latest Idea which only made it practice worthy. Then just last week I came up with a great idea that resurrected my cyber to game readyness. It made it just like it was before broke, and held up to two games of abuse. Here it is unstrung right after I completed the fixing.

It was well after the warranty or else I would have sent it back. I didn't anticipate it working out so well, and now I want to make a tutorial except I'm short handed on broken heads. If anyone would like to donate a broken head for me to make a tutorial of I'd appreciate it. I would send it it back to you to write a review of what you think. If you interested please pm me.

edit: Mods I didn't realize I posted this in the equipment forum, feel free to move it to the Stick Doctor Lounge if necessary.

Any head that is cracked anywhere along the head except the throat would work. Also how does the pocket look.

pocket looks really strong. But may i ask what you did to fix it. You dont have to go into detail, i just want to know what material.

2 screws, some thread, and gorilla glue

very clever. im guessing you screwed the screws in, and the tied the string around the screws to hold it together. then you glued it.

I think super glue or gorilla glue would of been more sufficiant.

I did use gorilla glue. From the way it held in my games I don't think it will be breaking anytime soon but its still possible. I'm still looking for for someone to donate a broken head so I can do a tutorial.

because brine no longer makes the cyber the send you a ripper which is not even in the same league as the cyber

Yeah it's pinched. I did it a while back with the Truth/Helix pinch the thread should be somewhere.
edit: here is the thread http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=35667&highlight=pinched+cyber

To a certain extent with gorilla glue its possible, I wasn't to worried about making it clean just as much as seeing if it would work. The main thing the glue does is strengthen the thread to prevent it from snapping so something like a resin might be better but I'm not that sure.

sorry to bump.. but i just dug up my ancient brine cyber and dyed it. its my first ever dye job and its not too bad. i tried to string it (im a fairly noob stringer as well) and im finding it terribly hard. if my pocket turns out half as sexy as this i will jump for joy... how did you get your top string so tight?
