Look...the season is on the brink of starting. Teams r beginning to hold their tryouts, with hope that this year will finally be the year that they r the team to take the hardware home. In my opinion, Lassiter, Lovett, and Milton r the top teams in the state. Although Lassiter whipped lovett into the ground last season for the ship, the defenders of the title have some problems to deal with. Raleigh Flowers, one of lassiter's big players, blew out his knee. The trojan all-star will miss a good portion of the season. With this injury lassiters attack is in critical condition. Another injury is dealt to future lassiter star dave banik who is only a sophmore, but was expected to contribute some offense to the team. With these injuries, lassiter is left with 2 players that hold the team together until the return of Flowers. Seth Erickson and Air Force bound Jonathon Huggins. Some say Seth will be the leader of Lassiters O until Flowers is back in the line up. Seth had some big play last year such as the game winning shot against Ravenwood in the final seconds. Huggins, on the other hand, recieved little to no playing time last spring. This summer Huggins has transformed himself to a lacrosse player with a solid game. The ? is....Will Lassiter be able to survive without Flowers? In his return will they be in too deep of a hole to climb out of?
