O.K. So the winter season is starting for me and latley i have been shooting after school and such but latley when I shoot the ball i find that I am getting severe lower back pain. Its like a shooting pain and i have tried ice and heat. Now I know that none of you are doctors and im not looking for a response like go see a doctor because if I do I get suspended from lacrosse. I was wondering if any of you had similer problems and if you went to the doctor what they said. Also if it is just that I need to work out some muscles so they get stronger so that I dont have this recuring injury.
Thanks

i had lower back pain a while back, horrible horrible spasms, so take my advice. Icing and heating will do very little when i went to my mom (doctor) she told me to stretch, and that was my problem. Once i started stretching on a regular basis the back pain started to go away. Make sure to espically stretch your hamstrings, im pretty sure thats what it was for me. My hamstrings were tight and that was like pulling on my lower back or something.
In a nutshell start stretching every day as many times as possible ESPICALLY before and after working out/running and focus on your hamstrings.

Stop posting threads like this. Trying to mask what you are asking by acknowledging the rule you are ACTUALLY breaking does not fool anyone. Knock it off, I'm just as sick of closing threads as you are of me doing it.
If your back hurts, see a trainer or a doctor - not one person on here is qualified to answer your question.
