New High School Helmet Rule in NJ?

Our team recently had a meeting and our coach told us we might be getting team identity's from Poskay who's going to help coach our team this season. However, a majority of the Sophomores, including me, already own CPX Ti's that we just bought last season. One of the Sophomores asked if we could continue to wear our CPX's. But our coach said there was a new rule that states your school must provide certified helmets for all the players. I was just wondering if anybody could shed some light on this supposed rule.

It's supposed to get a yearly inspection to get re-approved I think (I had that problem my sophomore year too and that's what my coach told me to do, even though I didn't). As long as the shell of the helmet is the same color as the Identity's and your helmet is good for play than you should be allowed to wear it. I could be wrong?

Orange your right the rule states that you have to have the same color shell visor and chin as all the other helmets on the team its doesn't say anything about the the models of helmets all have to be the same

i actually just had this problem with my cpx and eventually lost. our school switched the colors of our helmets from white and blue to blue and black, so i got a new cpx to match it. then they switched it to something like royal blue, but darker and had glitter in it (damn you ridell and your custom services) so i was at a loss. you need to have the exact color helmet..decals dont matter with them. as long as the decals, if you have them, are the school provided ones and match the school ones, your okay with what you got.

Sounds to me like a state rule, if there is no state rule then there's no problem as long as they are the same colors.
