Poll: Coaches and rules knowledge

After some discussions in the rules area, I thought it might be interesting to post this poll.

i have a rule book, i wouldnt say that i study it, but i have read it, more than once, but mostly use it as a reference. so i'm somewhere in between #1 and #3

ive read the rule book , but mostly just find out the new changes made each year and use it as reference

Both of our coaches know it well, in fact, our Defense coach is a ref.

I've read it mainly when I have questions, but also to look up a specific section that the league seems to be taking note of that year (uniforms are always a hot topic). When the new one comes I usually just read through the new additions. I often don't agree with some of the posters on their interpretation of the rules, often because it's their interpretation. I've had refs call the rules every which way...not because they're not following them, but because they're rather open-ended and can't be looked to as all-inclusive. Common sense plays a large part also. Not like that's not a problem with our legal system as well...

Well, it's nearing 5 o'clock, so I'm gonna go pack up my soapbox now...
