I was watching the game yesterday and i noticed that one guy had both hands facing inwards when ready to take the FO while the other had one hand inwards one outwards, if that makes sense to you, can you tell me why? Is it just preference or what? Thanks!

well its pretty much all preference and comfort its all what works for you but personally i like having one hand inward and one hand outward because it feels more natural because thats how you hold your stick and it makes it easier for scooping and all that

alright, i was just a little confused by this because i've never seen anyone use the in/outward set up, guess i'll give it a try though.

yeah it was, couldn't remember which guy was on which team though, i think the cannons FO man had his hands in/outward and the philly guy had em both out

What exactly do you mean by inward/outward? Like one hand on top of the stick and one on the bottom?

really? i rarely see anyone with both hands inward. ive actually been taught that it is the less correct way of putting your hands. but, i guess if all you do is clamp, go for it.

No ALWAYS have your hands just has you would hold your stick.. so that would be one invert one.. non invert
if your hands aren't how you hold your stick you need to take time to change your hands after the faceoff and that little bit of time can cost you the ball and it just unessisary.. get good the right way

Zooooooooooom bringing back my 3 month old topic I see... Well Thats incorrect, I know FO guys who are amazing one way and aweful the other, the FO king of illinois happens to do both inwards...Not that it matters to me anymore.
