they probably didnt play most of the starters, and odds are they didnt start Alford.

uh i dont think that Maryland played OSU, they played Delaware and Loyola yesterday.

i thought they didnt start alford because he had shoulder surgery and should be back within the first 2-3 weeks of the season. either way, i want to hear more about this whole phipps sucking thing.

well lax21goalie, that was what the schedule said but i was at the game and they changed it around. loyola played delaware at 1 on the feild hockey field. alford does have a messed up shoulder. my friend played on a summer team with alford and phipps and alford, the goalie, played short stick while phipps played in goal. when phipps wasnt in goal some gtown club guy was in, alford didnt play in goal at all...rumor was that phipps was going to take his spot anyways. i was suprised yesterday, the osu goalies looked alot better than phipps but osu was getting some good shots and had the ball movement on lock. some shots there wasnt much he could do but he deff didnt play to the hype and at the level i saw him play over hte summer. i can say the osu goalies played a lot better than him and i bet no one on here can name them.
and umd did play their starters for the majority of the game. whittenberg was in for most of the game and buchanon looked great on him. the only player who stood out for umd was fran gormley at attack, freshman.

i've been looking online for any info on the scrimmage but it's almost impossible to find given it was a scrimmage. any links, info would be well appreciated :)

i dont think that cottle would put phipps in this year. alford will finish out his career as a starter, then phipps will play, and he'll be great.

You mean Carter. All three of these goalies are very very good. Harry will probably miss the start of the season. But he'll finish out the season barring injury.

i think phipps is better then jason carter. phipps will be a better goalie then alford if their experience was equal. phipps will start over alford at some point when both are healthy. alford does not impress me
