okay i know there's already a superbowl thread (i made it) but notice how many yards the colts run d gave up with 4 games left in the season??
i am convinced CONVINCED this was on purpose...
Larry Johnson- shut down
Jamal Lewis- shut down
everyone is like the colts are going to get runn all over then they go win
i think dungy did this on purpose so that everyone thinks the colts suck and then he had them show their true colors in the playoff
DISCUSS
Yeah, that sounds reasonable.

well i think Bob Sanders had a key role to play in the whole shutting down of the run

ummm haha that is possibly the dumbest thing i have ever heard. why would he want his team to suck at run defense, which made them lose at least 2 games. The matter is that the Colts just stepped it up in the playoffs.

the colts are my favorite team and i think bob sanders was the biggest influence because he pumps everyone up and is an amazing player

BOB SANDERS is their pivot point in the run defense, i was listening to an interview where the interviewer said "Bob sanders cant be the sole key to your run D" (interviewing a Colts player o' course) and the response was
"UMMMM..... actually kinda ya."

are you serious this thread is retarded. tony dungy is a great coach and wants to win as many games as possible. why would he want to lose more games so he dosn't get homefield advantage? he wouldn't call a bad sceme to set up his defense in a bad situation and he wouldn't say hey when you try to tackle the running back miss but make it look like you're really trying. it could make them have bad habits when they would try to actually play well. bob sanders clearly had a big part in the lack of run d and even the other colts players said having him back makes a huge difference because he's a leader and gets everyone pumped to play. tony dungy is one of the greatest coaches of all time, give him some respect. you clearly know nothing about football and have never played them game. get a clue bro.

His sarcasm is scintillating - yet most people just don't get it.

It's either sarcasm or retardism. Take your pick. Too bad the internet doesn't have a sensor for either of these, so I could just skip posts marked by them haha.
As far as the "argument goes", there's no point to it. Losing momentum going into the playoffs is the last thing you want to do. As others said, Sanders was also a major reason.
