Wow, grilled cheese as a healthy snack..no offense to you shazam, but this is why you talk things on message boards with a grain of salt.

Yeah when I saw the grilled cheese, I just thought..butter, cheese, and (probably) white bread.

But I always have granola bars. Nature Valley and stuff like that.

Best snack ever= Banannas and peanut butter on a toasted bagel. I geuss if the bagel is whole grain its not bad for you, its good with honey on top I'm not sure the nutritional value of that.

depending on what your goals are for you body... (bulking, cutting, maintaining etc.)

Almonds Dry roasted (nothing with added salt or flavor)
Apples
Any kind of vegetable
Beef Jerky (in moderation due to high sodium)
NATURAL peanut Butter
Protein Powder shakes (with milk or water)

Stay away from cereal bars or those 100 calorie cookie packs as theyre all high in sugar and highly refined grains, and are nowhere near nutrient dense.

friuts and vegetables for sure
eat things that have whole grain ect.
oatmeal or cereal is always a good breakfast to fill you up and is still healthy

but make sure you stay away from things that have High Fructose Corn Syrup because that actually makes you hungrier

Is there any meat thats good for you?

yea but you gotta self prepare it like cut the fat completely off your chicken and then cook it

its a lot more trouble then its worth in my opinion then just eating some PB

Is there any meat thats good for you?

the majority of meat is good for you, the sodium in most lunch meats does not matter due to the fact that turkey, chicken, most hams, all have high protein content and are all relatively sound sources of lean protein. However most pastramis, bolognas, and other meats are highly fat laden and not as lean as turkey or chicken breast would be.

high fructose corn syrup is the worst thing for you and most common on the food market. stay away from it the best you can. if you like gatorades and such don't think powerade is just the same because powerade is made with high fructose corn syrup and gatorade isn't. so stick with gatorade, and gatorade tastes 1000 times better too.

Low calorie doesn't always mean healthy.

You guys are all saying how bad fat and sodium is for you. I am not saying it isn't, but just remember these 3 words: Everything in moderation

Protein shake, it lasts you through the game, and then you are super hungry afterward.

cut a red pepper in half scoop out the guts , crack an egg inside ..put it in the microwave ...eat it ... never done it but it was suggested as a snack at the gym

suprisingly low fat foods are actually unhealthier for you then the non low fat food. the chemicals the company puts into the food that gets rid of the fat is acually unhealthier then the fat itself.
-my 2 cents

I always go for natural peanut butter on whole grain bread. You get some good fats in and carbohydrates.

If I am looking for something with high protein, I go for a smoothie with some protein powder. Check out my recipe thread for some great ideas!

Carrots, nix the ranch, celery + peanut butter, or just cell if you can take it, fruit, yogurt, nuts, dried fruit (prunes, craisins, apricots), granola, oatmeal (not really a snack but only takes 2 minutes to make), microwaved pork rinds (there's only like 1 brand), real Amish beef jerky, cheese.

Most deli meats are loaded with salt/sodium, but if you want, go for turkey, and look for something that's white, not translucent. Roast beef isn't so great and almost anything labelled wurst is trouble.

Something few people know: real butter is better for your health than margarine/spread/fake butter. Butter is milkfat and salt, saturated fats, while margarine is unsaturated vegetable oil with artificial trans-bonds, aka, trans fats. The trans bonds allow the oil to solidify at higher than usual temperatures. Basically it's chemically engineered vegetable oil. It's less fattening, but long term studies are just starting to reveal that because of their chemical structure they are worse for you in the long run for several health reasons, one of them being cancer.
