i think the final score was 8-3... heres some notes this other kid told me about

"For those counting, I counted JHU 8 - PSU 3, before disallowed goals. Both JHU and PSU had one called back for illegal pockets. Paul Rabil had an incredible dodging goal recalled due to stick length. It appeared to be very close, like one RCH too short. The refs called it in any case , not considering that it was colder than a well diggers ankle and alloy shafts contract under such conditions (drawing head shaking laughter from Petro).

JHU dominated the first half TOP, probably 25 minutes to 5 minutes. JHU shooting was very poor in the first half. First half ended 4 -1 (or 2 - 0) depending on your perspective.

Jays played pretty much everyone, from start to finish. Both Jesse and Mike Gvozden looked good in goal. JHU seemed to control face-offs. Freshman Connor Cassidy won 3 or 4 at the X. Jays defense looked pretty good. Hopkins offense seemed to generate a lot more movement in the second half with fewer chances, as PSU drew even or may have even had a slight edge in TOP during the second half.

Points of interest:
- Rabil's dodging goal through heavy traffic was amazing
- Jamie K was playing defense with a long stick, looked pretty good
- Austin Walker saw good time at midfield and has clearly made significant improvement in his field awareness. Real good speed.
- Matt Bocklett is an excellent addition to the team. Saw lots of action and looked really good. Big loss to Fairfield. He will be first LSM.
- Matt Drenan was apparently playing hurt, with a hyper-extension.
- Eric Zerrlaut I am told has been working out with the team and is expected back a few games into the season.
- Boyle, Kimmel and Boland looked good. Boland and Kimmel were running midfield. Boyle started at attack. Boyle has some ankle breaking moves. Boland has real good speed.
- Donegar saw good time on offensive midfield
- Clears were good today, with little trouble.
- Riding offense was also very good, stifling PSU clears on a number of occasions.
- Gvozden didn't look like a freshman.
- This team is DEEP.
- This team is BIG. Bobby Benson use to tower over most of his teammates. He seems more like average height on this team."

I wanna see pictures on Lax.com, when I went to visit PSU i got a tour and the whole nine yards. PSU got rid of the horrible Ridells and their Cascades are sweet. All blue with a whit chin and chinstrap. Coach Thiel said they're getting the brand new Cascades within a month.
