thats doubtful since colgate isnt fully funded. i believe they only give out 7 of the 12.6 scholarships they would if they were fully funded. they arent going to tie that much money up in one player
(thats besides the point that full rides are exceptionally rare, which they are)

Full rides, aka Full Grant-In-Aids, do occur in lax. They are very rare though, and even moreso with a program that is not fully funded (as Spenny pointed out). It's also possible that someone gets a portion of athletic aid, then fills the rest with academic aid that would be equivilant to a full grant-in-aid, although that is not a "true" full grant-in-aid.
As for my team, no one so far has really been outstanding. My freshman year we had two girls go DI, so that's impressive. Since then we really haven't had anyone go on and play at the college level.

badger, I dont know him or his family, but i find it really hard to belive that a coach would tie up that much of his money in one player. perhaps part is academic money?

WLax, the Ivy league, of which Dartmouth is a member, doesnt offer athletic scholarships. any money he got a dartmouth was related to his grades, not his lax stick

We have a bunch of good players in college now. Conroy (Desales, D-III) 4 year starter at golie, Chris Yale, 2 year (1 starting) player for Cornell, then quit. Chris Barrett, played for the Canadian U19 National team for 3 years then quit (second leading scorer 2 seasons). Tom Stitt-3 year starter (going to be fouth year) and leading scorer 2 years at Drew University (III). Next year, Hunter Malick (MAGOLIE1 here on the forums) will be playing for McDaniel or E-town...watch out for him. And oh yeah, me at Hofstra (club)....unstoppable.

Calvert Hall?...Huntley is a great player but i'll go back to my generation and say Tom Sears '79
a refresher:
It didn't take long for Sears to become a force in the college game. He earned the starting role midway through his freshman campaign and guided the Tar Heels to the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament, where they dropped a heartbreaking 11-10 loss to Virginia in double overtime.
"Looking back on it, losing that game was probably the best thing that could have happened to us," Sears said. "We were really on a roll, and that loss just set off a spark that kept us really motivated for the next couple of seasons."
UNC rebounded from the disappointment by going on a 26-game winning streak that lasted two seasons and included two national championships. Sears was named first-team All-America and won the Kelly Award for National Goalkeeper of the Year in both seasons.
In 1982, his dominating play earned him several more accolades, including the Brine Trophy for the MVP of the national championship game, ACC Player of the Year and the Emmers Trophy for National Player of the Year.
