well ive been stringing for a while now, and i can get a good pocket, but i just came across a problem. my stick is strung up with a nice channel, but i put straight shooters in to take some whip out. now there is no whip when i pass and stuff, but there is ALOT of whip when i shoot. any way to fix this?

Pics? Does your mesh bunch up when you shoot?

Is this new mesh? it sounds like you have worn in, grippy mesh with more hold the faster you pass or shoot.

the mesh is a month old, but has gone through alot of practice. so basically broken in. is that a problem?

Try a basic maintenance check. Tighten side walls , top string, etc.

ya post some pics maybe the shooters are too tight? try loosening up from the bottom to tight at the top

topstring is the same triangle top string that i strung from my other thread (somewhere here), and it is hard mesh. the shooters are already loose at the bottom and tight at the top. sidewalls are as tight as they can be as well.

I suggest adding an extra shooter across, then while leaving all the shooter untied throw/shoot with it. After that the shooters should all be good and you can tie them off.

its your channel it will throw fine but when you shoot or pass hard enough the ball somehow gets caught in the channel happens in my profile alot

perfect explanation. when you pass, the ball doesn't get caught in the channel because you don't wind up and put it there. but when you shoot, the ball rests on the part of the channel that pinches the ball. its like you have a high pocket when you shoot, thats what the channel is doing. try just pounding out the sides of the channel's crease.
