jhu vs princeton-this will be interesting. this will be a matchup of princetons shutdown defense, and jhu's potent and deep offense. each team has players on the other side of the ball, but they wont be the deciding factor.

winner- princeton 10-7

Syracuse vs. Virginia- these are probably the two most dangerous offesensive units in the country. syracuse has more guys who are threats to score, but virginias guys are overall better. this one will be about whos defense plays better, because neither offense ever has a problem putting the ball in the back of the net. that said virginias defense is much better, but we will have to see if coluccini is actually any better.

Hopkins begins their immaculate season with a convincing win over Princeton 13-6 and Virginias offense will be too much for Syracuse to handle 15-7.

Those were obviously complete guesses as to the scores (since nobody can tell the future exactly)... But Hopkins and Virginia WILL win their respective games.

Cuse has the best midfield depth and starting unit the country rommel and brooks are so hard to shut down they can shoot so hard and accruate and they both can dodge and there is only one poll and that means perrit or brooks is gonna be dodgeing on a shorty. Or if they say like they would do it in the magazine take a poll of nims and put one of brooks or perrit. nims will hurt them to if they do that.

ummm lets be honest here. UVA will own syracuse. Cuse's starters are NOT better than virginias. I think it is hard to argue that SU will have a better attack considering Glading and Rubeor, and with 4 out of 5 returning starters on the D, only losing culver, i think they are in good shape. SU's midfield may have some depth, but so does UVA's.

IL said that Hop and cuses are the best in the country for midfield, so it should be a fun game to watch later in the year

im saying billings, glading, rubeor, and thompson are better players but the su players are also very good, and there is two more of them. would you prefer nims and hardy over glading and billings? i wouldnt...

There were some 'cuse fans in front of me during the UVA- SU game and we were arguing the whole time, Whenever Virginia would score me friends and I would cheer and scream in yoru face and when syracuse scored they owuld scream at us. It was pretty funny until the orange lost though because as we were leaving the did a rude gesture towards us. :nahya:

No, the ball has to be in the goal before the buzzer, it wasn't a goal. Great play by both teams, Schwartzman (sp?) had a clutch save in ot, wide open on the crease, BAM stuffed.

Since when is losing by three point being blown away. Both teams played fairly sloppily in the beginning, UVA just stepped it up more in the fourth quarter. Kip Turner was playing like crap, then came out huge in the fourth quarter.

I think SU had on Triumphs.

The sections that were occupied at all (The endline seats were completely empty, as well as the upper level on one side) were pretty full. In the secodn game the side opposite the team's benches seemed to thin out, but overall it was pretty packed.

The sections they sold tickets to were filled pretty good, and there were people in the luxury boxes. The side I was sitting on was filled better than the side with the boxes. The "Man Advantage" pissed me off, more so when he got it wrong in the SU game. It was also annoying to hear the people around me giggle and echo him every time he did it.

Every team but Princeton had the same style of jersey, just different colors (looks like the style the Iroquois had, if I'm not mistaken).. no one had new Cascades.

I thought is was more like Super Troopers. I kept thinking it was some bet to get him to say it like that at every opportunity.

There were a lot of Hopkins fans and family sitting around the section I was in (K18 and his parents were moving around chatting with various people as well as many of the Hopkins players after they "suited up" to watch the second game, and the Rabils looked like the two happiest parents in all of Bmore after the Hopkins win), though a couple a Princeton fans "snuck in" to try and get their voices heard.
