what do you guys think about Severna Park firing Jimmy Beardmore. Personally i think its ridiculous

From what I understand he took 2-3 boys outside and threw water on them because they did not participate in the Polar Bear Plunge. He did it for team building.
I don't think its worth firing him over. He's really built a nice program there. Maybe there were other reasons and this was the last straw.

i think its not enough to get fired over, but i go to westminster so anything to give us a better chance of beating severna park is good. but none the less they still have a great team.

damn i didnt think anyone else heard about this i actually go to severna park and i think its balogna he s a great coach and he led us to win a state championship last year

From what I've read... The kids didn't have a problem with it. They thought it was all fun and jest. In my opinion it was just another 'locker room' prank. They, the boys who missed the event, took their plunge outside with the help of the coach and the team. It's called team building... No one was hurt or humiliated.
Anyway, I believe that there are other forces at work in this situation. Someone wanted him out and this was an opportunity to get rid of him. Seeing that he's not a teacher in the AACO system, if he's not 'invited' back then 'any' teacher in the school system would have priority over him regardless of his accomplishments or their credentials.
It's a shame when you sacrifice the kids over politics, personal vendettas and paranoia. Severna Park is a great team and he was part of making them great.
Maybe, they should look at replacing the principal...
