Diamonds...

Well, just got a diamond today and I was wondering from personal experiences, do they rip up your gloves? I was just curious and I searched and didn't find much. I have Defts by the way.

Is it 07, or earlier, because 07 tend to have a lighter coating and do less to the gloves, but the earlier ones can do a pretty nasty job, but you can sand the grip if you want.

Well, if you got a newer diamond, i dont think it should be a problem because there isn't nearly as much grip as the older ones, but there is are a couple people on my team that have older ones that haven't ripped up their gloves. I don't know for sure though.

not at all, sure, they are harder on gloves than say a k pro, but they do ntohing against gloves, ive used my diamond on my macs for a good year, and nothing wrong with the gloves, so no, especially with defts.

Oh, I have an 06. Ya, the kid I bought it from had macs too. I was wondering why his macs weren't ripped up.

ya, really, the really really really tacky frip, goes away after 2 weeks of light use, both of mine 06's did, so i wouldnt worry bout it

I just so happen to own and use a diamond and deft gloves and no they don't tear your gloves any more than usual. In my experience at least. I also had one of the newer diamond shafts.

no the 07 ones are fine, its the liquid metals u gotta watch out for

i have an silver 07 diamond and it looks 10000x better cuz i took all the graphics off and it is just plain silver...not much grip though...wont do anything to your gloves.

i have an 06 diamond, they dont really do anything to your gloves,
i was actually kinda disappointed in how much grip (or lack of it) there was on the shaft, i ended up putting grip tape on it anyways

the 06 is like sand paper itll rip up you gloves eventually...

I have both '06 and '07 diamonds. The rumors that they rip up your gloves are false. I've used diamonds for seasons upon seasons and have not have a problem with palms ripping/tearing. All of my teammates that use them have had no problem with their gloves either.
