View Full Version : Hopkins D in Trouble
Matt Drenan tore his ACL and will miss the whole season. He was gonna be there number one guy this year and Hopkins doesn't have a lot of talent on D this year so things may tough for them. Heres the Baltimore Sun article:

we got bocklet, and devore that will fill in, so thats okay. but man drenan's sick.
zerrault is expected to be back against albany(first game). i think are defense will still be okay. heres what i think are D will look like.

devore is a baller i have heard
He is supposed to be the highest defensive recruit out of Ward Mellville since Passavia. thats what i have heard
Well hopefully Devore will be able to fill in for Drenan as a shutdown defender, but thats a lot for a freshman to do

Well, that's a shame. I certainly know how he feels. If you look on the bright side, though, this'll give another guy a chance to step up and show Coach Petro just how good he really is. The same thing happened to my dad. The guy in front of him gets hurt in the first quarter of the first game of the season, and BAM, my dad starts in all of his next 35 games. I'm pretty confident that Hopkins will be able to find a good replacement.

hopefull NCAA will accept his request for a medical redshirt, allowing him to play for the next 3 years. if they don't accept it, he'll lose 1 year of NCAA eligibility.
he is a great player. an ACL injury is a tough one. you're out for a long time. hopefully he'll be back for Hopkins.
^ thats true and better happen his sophmore year than his senior one you know? At least he should still be able to have a pretty good career at Hop
