i believe the brine answer has a weight of 4.3 or 4.4 and has a stiffness rating of like 4 out of 10

There's no correct answer for these weights, because it's been established that Brine fudged all of their weights they provided. For years, the Cyber was weighed as 4.8, and Brine even advertised it as 4.8 ounces...then suddenly it becomes 4.5. Same thing with the Answer.

Also, lacrosse.com's catalog has the Deuce as 4.8, yet they list it as 5.0.

according to brine, the swerve is 4.7 i believe, but just as lax101 said, brine's weights are never accurate

edit: also its Revo 2.0, not Revo Pro 2.0, i know the revo pro is much heavier than 5 oz flat

Wow, Look at the difference! :ahhno:

Come-on, kids, A good solid head like the Bionic is a big fat two ounces heavier than a rubber spatula like the Arrow......Can someone really claim that such a difference even matters?

Rockstar, agreed.

Thanks for this, it'll make things much easier for people.

yea i was just trying to help......and i was annoyed at all the noobs asking a bout head weights...even though it dosen't matter

actually it sorta does matter. for instance, if you have a heavier shaft, like a woodie or fatboy or something, and a lighter head, it gives you a more balanced feel when you have the ball in your stick. if you have a really light shaft, like a kpro, then it gives you more momentum when you wind up and crank shots because the top of the stick weighs more than the bottom part. of course, it really doesn't matter all that much, but the difference is still there.

yes but it is hardly noticeable.....

I love light sticks, even if there is only a couple ounce difference. I guess its kinda a psycological thing for me, knowing that my stick is light makes me think about it more and like that its light. Hard to explain. But it really pisses me off guys tryna act tought sayin, "no shaft is heavy unless it can crack cement" and stuff like that yet they go out and buy light sticks anyways.

Fudd - effort is appreciated. It's good to know relative weight even if you're not worried about an ounce or two......if two heads are essentially equal, it certainly doesn't hurt to pick the lighter one.

Others - take your four ounce head, add 1-2 ounces worth of pocket and strings, put it on top of a 6 to 8 ounce shaft coated with 1 ounce of butt cap and tape, grab the whole thing with your hands (each covered in 4 ounces of glove!) and tell me you can really feel the difference between the four ounce head and the five ounce one. I don't believe you! If you think you can feel the difference, put the five ounce ball inside the head and try again!

wait i dont know if this is off topic but i got a quick question.........

what is affected by the weight of your head meaning shotting and passing wise

Fudd
02-15-2007, 05:38 PM
not much.......i mean i have never felt a difference.....but others say that it means the world....it is all preference

To me, weight doesn't matter, but I tend to lean more for a top heavy stick. Stuff like this makes me mad: In sports study hall the other day this kid who has an Ignite on a Primer walks up to a kid with a Revo Pro/ STX Ti and goes: "hahah, your stick sucks, it's wicked heavy, mine is way better than yours."

the whole debate over head weight is totally useless. the weight of the head only really matters if your arms are like pencils... in which case you would want a light head . if there is a head that you like, you should pick it because you like it, not because of its weight :nahya: :bull:
