In the low-profile Divison II or III schools, or schools that just aren't listed on lacrosse companies websites, is it a common practice that smaller programs supply their lacrosse teams with equipment if not explicitly listed?

yep, navy has them. another team has them, i dont remember which team but i saw it on lax.com somewhere. higher level teams like salisbury -> wesleyan get high quality stuff on d3 level....wesleyans jerseys are sexy as hell....and schools like notre dame de namur and le moyne get good stuff on the d2 level. most d1 teams get good stuff, i think the only school that i saw with some lower stuff was air force on d1, but that was just all x factor gloves. every team is pretty balanced up and down.

That other team was Denver w/ gold Ti facemasks. But EHSLAX pretty much nailed it. It really depends on the program you're looking into.

We get CPX's, gloves, elbow pads, t-shirts, Boathouse pants and jackets, and heads. We do a team order for sweats, UA, and practice gear so we get that very cheap.

are you in college? if so, where?

my school may be an hs team, but we get the lower end of the gear. ridells and crappy padding, so i use the ridell but use my own pads because i dont trust the others at all.

Well think about it most northeastern HIGHSCHOOLS get shorts, jerseys, warmups, and helmets atleast..... and I even thought that this one school was sponsored by Brine and got all the equipment. So id figure colleges get the basics and eclipse what college is in st. louis that has a lax team?

Yes and no. Schools have to provide helmets, uniforms and gloves because they must match for NCAA play. Everything else depends on the team's budget. Mid and low level D3 and D2 teams have varying budgets and fundraising efforts often cover the ost of practice gear and other non-game-essential apparel/equipment. a lot of teams go by the school budget and are forced to do the "new helmets this year, new gloves next year, new uniforms the year after that". It's all very dependent upon the fundraising efforts, alumni and school budget.

Do D1 colleges give out multiples of equipment, like if someone rips thier gloves are they replaced? also i know some teams give out more then one helment like 'cuse.

Depends on the team. Some give out a ton of equipment, including multiple gloves, helmets, sweats, shoes, sticks - everything you could need. That's the minority though. Most give out some stuff and the players have to buy other stuff or replace things.

When I played D1 we got one of everything. (Helmets, gloves, jerseys, practice stuff.....) If anything broke or ripped they got it replaced. Sticks however were up to us, but the local lax store kind of gave us a hook up with stuff. Free strings and stuff like that.

Yea its a great school, good people, nice campus, good after school connections (at least in the North east), and decent lax as of late. Just put in a new turf field and permanent seating/stadium structure.

Does anyone know if any teams give sholders too? I remember hearing about UMD getting G-forces one time? It seems like more of a preferance deal?

Some colleges get multiples of a lot of stuff. Hopkins had 3 or 4 different helmets and jerseys. But it all depends on the school you go to.

well i maybe still in high school but my school supplies nice CPros and we get all apparel and extra equipments like glvoes and stuff through the captains but like the team pays for it but the helmets are mad nice

we get jerseys, cleats, and helmets. we can never get enough people to buy the team gloves tho, and except for jerseys, we have to buy anything which is pretty usual for around here. (high school tho)

I play DII at Saint Leo University. We are supplied helmets, gloves, practice uniform (shorts, shirt, and penny). Also if you need elbows or shoulder pads coach will give them to you, but most players get their own. We also get shooter shirts, traveling polos, and we get to keep our game shorts. All of this stuff is paid for by our fund raising and the school budget. We are an adidas school, but we arent specifically linked to any lacrosse company. We pay for it all.

that only happens in high level d1 d2(le moyne) d3(salisbury, i know Nazareth has a huge lax budget so they get all kinds of nice things)

where ever you go you will get almost everything uniform wise(helmets jerseys shorts, gloves maybe). the variables are cleats/elbo pads, sholder pads and sticks

Not true...they're all over the stores...I saw Rutgers wearing them in practice. Hobart wore them against SU. Duke will be wearing I think

At my highschool we get team bags, practice gloves, game gloves, three different game shorts, three different game jerseys, (we can mix n match the jerseys/shorts really nicely so we have like 7 or something configurations, maybe 9, i dont want to do the math, its late for me), practice shorts, practice jerseys, helmets, and warm ups. spirit gear (anyone who wants one can get...) includes two different sweatshirts, two different shirts, sweats, windbreakers, hats. we need to supply nuetral colored arm guards (black, white, grey), cleats (some people do nike id), and sticks.

our JV get helmets.

Frosh get stickers for their supplied helmets.

it depends on the school. i got more when i was in high school than i do in college. in college we get practice shorts, under armour (fake kind), sweats, t-shirts and a helmet if you really need one, but the helmets are the original cascades from like '98, and they're pretty well "used". we have to buy everything else, including 2 pairs of game shorts ($30 each), gloves, cleats, sticks etc. we do all of our own findraising too, we don't get much money from the school.

a lot of schools we play seem to get pretty much everything handed to them

it was pretty funny this fall when a freshman came in with no equipment (it was all from his high school and they took it back when he graduated) and was expecting us to have some for him.... poor kid had to go out and buy all new stuff
