ok this may be a stupid question but can you tape a little bit of padding on the shoulders of your shoulder pads and still be legal? Just wondering because I cut off my big bulky shoulder caps but now there is absolutley no protection there so I cut pieces of padding from under the shoulder cap and I am planning to tape it onto the strap that the shoulder cap used to be on. Is this legal?

Unless you get caught by the ref, no. But, officially its illegal to modify the original shoulder pads, the shoulder pads must be in the same shape as when it was bought. I've actually started a thread about this, please search.
