Btw i'm goin to Jamiaca on Sunday so that's why I'm askin.

well i actually took my jetpack max with me on a plane, and i just stuck the shaft in the holder thing. if it fits in your bag check it at the front, but take your head as a carry on

Here's a rather large thread on this- http://lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=11503

I think most people carry on their heads and check the shaft. I've strung heads on a plane, the only thing you need to worry about is something like a lighter, so just make sure all of your strings are cut before hand.

As for the actual shaft, I just have a stick bag that I'll use and check. I've heard of people fitting shafts in their suitcases, but a stick bag just seems easier to me.

The only reason I made a new thread is because the security has gotten somewhat high but I also searched and couldn't find that thread.

The first thought in my mind when I read the title was.."Sticks on a Plane" as opposed to "Snakes on a Plane". :chuckle:
I think I remember seeing a few threads on taking sticks on a plane, and they usually allow you to. If not, at least take your head on board. Especially if you are going to a tourny, in case, it gets lost, you still have your head, and any shaft would do.

they let me bring my heads on... just make sure all your x-lace is pre-cut and burned, because they most definately wont let you bring scissors and a lighter on with you.

ya as everyone said just bring the head with you and just check the shaft. And for stringing make sure all your stringing supplies are prepared before hand.
when i tried to bring my lacrosse stick on to a plane they made me check it yet, the guy ahead of me was allowed to bring on a skateboard, i was so mad especially since my stick got dented(luckily it was a cheap aluminum one)

just dis-assemble your stick , put it in your checked luggage bag, and use rolled up shirts, socks, and underwear to pad it, then re-assemble it there. Thats what I did when I went to Mexico.
