Today at 1:00 at Calvert Hall in Baltimore, MD North Carolina and Ohio State will be playing for a good cause. These two teams (especially UNC) could be major dark horses this year surprising everybody. My prediction is UNC winning by about 4.

I think its definently going to be a tough game but UNC will probably come out by 1-3 in the end. But go OSU.

uh...if you're referring to UNC as "the mighty" they have fallen a lot in the past few years

it will be a good game. north carolina is trying to regain its identity as a national power, whereas ohio state is just trying to be mentioned for the first time as elite. i think osu will pull off the upset, winning 12-10. also, does anyone know where I can get updates of the game? or if anyone is going can they post updates here?

Yea, I see what you mean. I'm just saying it'd be good for the sport to see a relatively less acknowledged lacrosse team like Ohio State rise to become a national power. North Carolina's trying to regain their prestige as a threat. A win by either of these teams could give them some confidence to take down the big guys like Hopkins, Syracuse, Virginia, etc. Ohio State should have a good team this year, and maybe they'll have a big upset or two. North Carolina could do the same thing. I'd love to see a team from the midwest, rather than the east coast bring home a title.
I hope North Carolina destroys them.

The game was very exciting to watch. I drove down from the Philly area to see it. UNC had an extremely slow offense, may I say Hopkins-esque, and a very passive defense (except #5 was a beast and had better stick skills than some of the attack, and a goal). The defense would rarely man up and get physical. The buckeyes have some amazing leftys. #16 was on fire as was 25 (or 23, forget which) and #18 had a good game. Overall it was cool... especially since the coaches and scouts from UMBC were sitting behind me and discussing their game plan and critiquing the game. Definatly worth the 2 hour drive down and back.
P.S. My predicition of UNC by 4 was exact

yeah osu played well defensively but they seemed to drop too many passes and mess up on clears

haha i loved that one check one of the unc d-men made on an osu attackman about a millisecond after the whistle blew. i would pay to hear the short exchange of words between the players after that. as the osu attackman was getting up, he patted the d-men on the helmet and the d-man swung his stick at him as he ran to the box. made me chuckle a bit.
