I've heard talk that the San Francisco Dragons are almost positive in signing Mikey Powell for the upcoming season. Ryan and Mikey playing together?...just rumors for now.

Mikey said that he was taking a break from the MLL for awhile, probably to work with either the NLL field league or the new minor league thing starting up, so while it could be possible, I don't quite believe it yet.

The new minor league is suppose to be for collegue players so I don't think that Mikey will be playing in that but he might be playing in the NLL feild league.

He won't be playing in the minor league but he might help get it started and run it. I agree that he might do the nll outdoor.

Yeah, he wouldn't be actually playing in the league, but him working with the league is entirely possible.

NLL field is during a differnt season, It will not contradict him playing in the MLL.
Mikey will be on the field this year, because the people who pay him, own a large portion of the MLL [New Balance].
Now its just a matter of finding a coach that wants him, Because at this point, no one wants his liability.

The only reason he didn't play last year was because he worked for Brine. Now that Brine has a contract with the MLL, Mikey will most likely play.

If he is playing i doubt it would be with the dragons. Wasn't the reason why he moved for Colorodo back to New York because he was tired of the West Coast and all the traveling he had to do. If he still lives In Ny i sought of think he will play for an Eastern team.

I would like to see Mikey start playing again. Just to see how good he really is when he plays with a group of older dudes.

um...the minor league starts in a year or something like that so in '08.
so that wont happen any time soon...
Like ReLaxin 13 said, Mikey has a deal with Brine. Brine now is in the MLL. So Mikey will play in the MLL unless he want to lose his sponsorship deal. Any speculation of him in the NLL-O would basically be saying that he's going to trash his Brine contract, which I seriously doubt. As to whether or not he'll go to San Fran, I have no idea, but I would very much like to see him and Ryan together. I voted for San Fran on the poll on majorleaguelacrosse.com that asked where Mikey should play next season.

Mike Powell would look great in Boston. New Balance HQ is right in the shadow of BU where the Cannons play their games. They are probalbly the best run team with the most fans in MLL. The only thing they haven't done is win it all

I don't know, Denver has got a pretty good system in place, best average attendance. I think they're probably the best run franchise in the MLL. But Boston wouldn't be a bad place for Mikey.

ahah i saw mike yesterday and they were talking and people said some guys on the machine are trying to sign him and he was hanging out with leveille another brine rep who plays for the machine
