Long Island Stampede

I tried out and made a travel team recently called the stampede
they're fairly new. U-15

the coachesare sean chamberlain from stony brook university, and his brothers who played at CW Post(d2 attackman of the year in i believe 02) and his older brother who played at stony brook.

did anyone tryout/make the team? Cause i really have no idea of anyone who i'm gonna end up playing with.

The Long Island Stampede u-13 team Went undefeated today in the March Madness Tournament going 4-0 beating the Titans and two 7th grade Long Island Express teams and one 8th grade Long Island Express team. Nice way to start off .

I was asked to tryout for this team by my football coach who knew the guy who ran it(from sachem). I really didn't think they were going to be very good because most of the other travel teams(li express, Jr. Lizards, Storm , Team LI) already had their try outs and It seemed like the guy who ran it just wanted to benifit the Sachem Athletic club.

How was the tallent at the tryouts where were they from? Anyone here on the team??

the talent sure looked good at march madness they didnt lose a game i dont think there are many sachem kids on the team. they just want to benefit the kids on the stampede i dont they need to benefit yhe sachem athletic club they have been around along time

I was at the first tryout, not a lot of numbers. Good coaches, but the team won't be anything amazing..

that sucks, I never heard about the tryout. How did you find out? And how was the tryout setup like?

Is this team in suffolk or nassau?

The team is based in Suffolk. But they do have kids on the U-13 from both.
Home field is Diamond in the Pines Park.(Turf)

yo the field we play on is so nice

and our goalie is the starter from Cquot Damie somthing, he's pretty good. The talent for the u-15 wasn't great but like, we had 2 good middies, and thats a stretch cause that's saying i'm good, which i dislike, one ill attackman, and 2 or 3 solid defensemen. And our goalie(Damie) is really good from what i've seen


a lot of kids who are just starting out so you gotta cut em some slack, but thats due to the low numbers

Id definetly be willing to try out on D. The only problem is that port jefferson is more than an hours drive, but I guess its worth it because its 200$ cheaper than the sting

The team is U-15. They are looking into the possibility of fielding a U-16 for a few tournaments since some guys who were interested are to old. If you are U(Under 15)-15 and are interested contact Stampedelax@aol.com or jl1029@optonline.net

If you are U-16 and might be interested in playing some tournaments give them a shout

My friend was on it, played defense.. then he left for the mostly same reasons I did

we actually got a lot of pretty good kids including 3 other middies from our school, 2 good poles, a good attackman, a couple of good c quot middies and attackman, a really good c quot pole, a couple of pretty ok Pat Med Kids and a few other sachem kids who were ok

yeah we don't look half bad, we're no express but beggers can't be choosers, i think we'll fair well, and when we go u-17 next year we'll be good, especially since most of the newer kids will be on the u-15 still
