Anyone notice that the preseason all american hasn't been playing for marlyland so far this season? Instead this guy brian phiilips is up on lax.com as the goalie is this just a typo or what?
I think Harry is injured but not sure and Brian Phipps not phillips brother of Mike Phipps. He was a under armour all american and is supposed to be one of the top ten freshman this year

Harry had shoulder surgery, he should be back mid-season.

He's the best goalie of his class actually.

Which should be a tough decision for Cottle, look at how well philps (Probley got his name completely wrong) did in cage as a freshmen, but Harry will be back.

phipps was a better pick than gvozden. and alford did have surgery so its unlikely he will play, but can go on a medical redshirt for the season if he can (im not sure of the rule because hes a senior and i dont remember if he redshirted his freshman year). phipps will be good in net, but its a big step to adjust like that.

am i the only 1 against gvozden being better than phipps? not in the sense that im saying that gvodzen sucks, but that he was ranked lower than phipps. well see how they are when the season comes.

let's just say many of the D-1 caoches thought Gvozden was the best goalie in his class. His coach thought so too...Beardmore was a MD guy....and he wanted Gvozden to go to MD and play there.
IL had a different take. No way to really know because both coming out were highly regarded. Play on th field will tell

first off, have you seen both of them play? i would guess that most people in this forum havent had the opportunity to see both play and if so not enough to judge them really on who is better. i saw phipps play, he was good. saw gvodzen highlights on elax, he looked better
