Well I was wondering if anyone remembers there first lax game. with all the good things you think you did and bad
My first lacrosse game was last season i got in 2 min in the 1st quater (luckily are first game was against the worst team in the tri-state area) and got a pass
i was so happy that i cought it but i was frozen scared and couldnt move for like 6 seconds all i could do is Stare at the ball and its seemed i was in one of those cheezy movies when everything slows down and the breathing heavies haha and i really did do anything in that game
I was mostly annoyed and confused. We weren't really taught any of the rules, so I kept getting penalties called against me for not waiting for possession and things like that.

WAYYY too many hits to the head to remember lacrosse, or anything really, from when I was 7.

I remember my last highschool game though, and yes i did lay down on the feild and cry while the other team stormed the feild going crazy. I layed down and cried.. i didnt take my helmet off for like 20 minutes..

man, back in 1998. i was still kinda learning, but i was very good with my stick. i remember i shoveled 1 shot but hit the post and scored 1 goal off a quick stick. and i also got laid to rest there, a kid charged at me and laid me out and i broke my collar bone and 2 fingers (i was only 8, he was 10, and he was one beefy child for a 10 year old.)

The only thing I remember about my first season (which was in '98, so you can see why I forgot most of it) was going for a ground ball, which was stuck in a small hole in the field, looking up and seeing this huge kid charging at me and thinking "aw jeez". You know the rest....

Thats what you get when you play for Reynolds :nono: . If you played for Tabor on the other hand, things may have been different.
I don't remember my first game. I was in the 3rd grade and was a tubby little tyke. I probably sucked. I do remember my first game playing goalie. It was in the 5th grade, and I was still tubby, but was a rock in goal.

7th Grade, First year for the majority of the team, Didn't have very many stick skills yet. Didn't play much.
Just remember I did a bunch of faceoffs and after winning quite a few of them, attempting to throw the ball to the two kids who had played before.
By the end of the seaseon that changed though.

My first game was in 6th grade. It was everyones first game ever on both teams and no one really knew how to play. I had bought a stick a couple of years before and passed around the yard with some kids in my neighborhood but thats it. I was pretty nervous in the beginning but then I got use to it. By the end I remember we won by alot and I got 4 goals but I don't remember the exact score. I also got layed out by the biggest 7th grader I've ever seen. I jumped for a high buddy pass and just got ran over.

Mine was in 1979...it was the first full game I had ever seen. I spent about as much time in the penalty box (three slashed to the head) as I did on the field. A couple weeks later, though, I was starting.

My first game was memorable. I was a sophomore at a CT prep school and everybody but one middie was also a first time player.
We went down to Wilton and played their freshman team before launching into our prep school season. These kids had been playing since they were 7 and, perhaps more importantly, playing TOGETHER since they were 7.
They had scored a dozen goals and played their entire bench before we even got to touch the ball. They went to 3 , then 4, then 5 and 6 passes before shooting and kept scoring at an unabated clip.
The final score is thankfully forgotten, but I have no doubt that they put in 40 or more. It was really that bad. We managed one goal sometime in the 4th quarter.

Field:
My first game of field, we were playing a team which was in its 2nd year. I did not play as good as I wanted to but we pulled away with a 5-2 win.
Box:
Frist year of box, I made my start and we won that game 7-4 I believe. Our team was one of the better out of the 4.

I remember my first jv game pretty well, it was an away game, after getting lost, and taking 2+ hours to get there, it was a nice field, turf, I liked the postion/location of the field as well, I remember it was cold, very cold.....I didn't have alot of playing time, but enough. There was some obnoxious people there, before the game they said to our goalie, who was jumping rope and warming up, "the jumprope compition was yesterday", wow...are they that stupid?

First game ever-Our guy tossed back the faceoff, I looked down and picked it up, admired the ball, remembered we were playing and looked up. Lights out...Stick right in the gut.
Coach decided I could take a rest......and then we moved, no one plays here

AHH yes my first game, it was last year and i didnt start but i did get in in the first quarter and i was so scared, i didnt know any of the rules so i got a lot of failure to advance penalties and all! But i did get an assist and a good hit a guy but i also got blind sided, but i got right up, not knowing where i was tho.
Great game, we lost in OT 7-6.. :(

I sucked horribly. Last spring was my first time playing and it makes me laugh remembering how much i sucked. I've gotten a ton better since that game when just a few days before it, i was learning the proper way to cradle. We lost by the way, and obviously i didnt score. But i did get the first assist of the year. I got leveled right after i passed it off.

I played defense with a short stick. I was focused on laying kids out. I did, I don't think they scored that game.

Well my first game was in 5th grade and i remember being very confused. Our coach didn't teach us any of the rules so I got a few penalties. Also at the begining of the game the ball bouced of the ground and hit me in the head. We ended up beating the team though.

it was either 1979 or 1980. i poke checked a kids glove right off his hand along with his stick, the ball went flying out of bounds and we got posession. thats the only thing i remember about that game.

all i remember is that i straight up didnt know what to do. i couldnt do anything on offense and had terrible stick skills so i worked my 'a' of on defense and groundballs. we lost badly.

I played goalie in my first game. it was the first year of the leaque in my town, so no one really knew how to play. I scored, went coast to coast, and posted a shutout. I then quit that position. I figured, im going out on top, undefeated, no goals against, perfect save percentage.

 Let's see. About 4/5 years ago, my school team (now its own club) played against a local club. We were all U12 players but were submitted into the U13 league! So for a start, they were all a year older than me! I played for 5 minutes each quarter I think, but back then I was quite a big guy, n my fitness wasn't at all good, so I was knackered each time I came off. Unfortunately, we lost the game, but I made some good feeds and my passes weren't too bad, considering I was a beginner.
I remember this day so well because it was the day that England won the Rugby World Cup! YEAH!!!!!

I can remember somewhat of my first game. I was playing Mid and I had just picked up a loose ball. No one was around me (thank god no one was guarding me) I spun around and got the shot in. Ever since I was hooked. LAX ROCKS

well not first game ever..but last season our starting goalie quit becuase our coach made a funny joke about him and he got really emotional, back up goalie got disqualified for grades, and i was the only one who stepped in for goal. 2nd day of ever having a goalie stick in my hands i started a varsity game. I think they scored 23 goals i probally had about 10 saves just becuase they miraculously hit my legs, helmet, or cup. i dont like to remmebr that game

Mine was last year, JVA against Acton-boxborough. Everyone seemed 7 feet tall and wicked fast. It was the only game of my life to play long pole middie. I switched to a shortie, and after i got a feel for the game, i got moved up to varsity where i made another first.
First varsity game, first varsity ground ball i hit a kid and got my first concussion. Even though i didnt go down, I was wearing a helmet that looked like it was made in the 1950s I was probably better off putting a huge pot over my head in terms of concussion-stopping-ability (i love my new CPX Ti  )

Can't remember my first game in 1968. Probably rode the pine. A few years ago I was coaching U13 boys. First game of season. Game started with a lot of checking and hitting action. Asked the third middie line if they were ready to go in. Two first year players with big saucer eyes said "No". They never went in the whole game. Next game they did. One player is now a decent role player on the local varsity. He also challenged for the regional HS wrestling title this year.

The first game I played in was last year against our cross-town rivals. I was a freshman longpole in my first year of lacrosse and hadn't played yet. All of a sudden my coach yelled "Balik get your mouthpiece on. You're going in." At this point in the game we were getting beaten pretty badly and the other team had put their reserves in too. My friend was on the other team playing attack and he got the ball and immediately tried to dodge me. I quickly knocked the ball away and scooped it up for my first GB. He tried it again a few minutes later and the same thing happened, except this time I ran upfield instead of passing it away. As I approached the midfield line a middie on the other team hit me with all his might and knocked me face forward into the ground.:imparied: When I got up, with my facemask full of grass, I realized that I loved playing lacrosse.

i was a very late bloomer, when i was in middle school i was probably five foot nothin' and outweighed my stick by only a couple ounces. and the first action i saw, i got a loose ball by the corner and got checked by a young man whos body matured much earlier than mine. i was knocked off my feet, flew out of bounds, threw the ball back in to play and when i was subbed out i musta cried for the rest of the game. yeah, i was a wuss, too.
man, i love lacrosse.
