Do you think it is possible to be able to create programs in states where football is as important as church? I really wana play lacrosse down south but there is no college to play at. Leave thoughts suggestions comments etc.
any input is awesome

Nebraska has a Club Team.... And football there is beyond religion.
If more colleges follow Nebraska's lead, then there will eventually be enough club teams to maybe make a league, But this depends on a lot of things.

There are plenty of programs in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Look at Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, North Texas, SMU, OU, LSU. All of these teams play in the Lone Star Alliance, a Conference of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association.

I'm so happy Nebraska has a club team!! I'm hoping to go there but I figured there was no lacrosse so i was disappointed. Not like I'd play for them haha but it's still worth a try. GO BIG RED!!

Yep and with more of you playing down in Texas, Florida and California hopefully somebody like Florida State, Texas, Texas A&M breaks through to the varsity level. How awesome would that be for lacrosse, varsity teams in the south, midwest and westcoast.

I played ball at LSU for 3 years after growing up in NJ. I've heard a rumor that Florida State has been making moves go to a varsity program. They had a donor who made purchased a next-turf field for the band, then lax, then football in that order. I believe UF and FSU have womens teams ready to compete in 08 or 09.
The great thing about this game is that no matter where you live, or how much you've played you can ALWAYS find somewhere or someone to play with. If your not good enoguh for DI, DII, or DIII you can still play college club, there's 2-3 different leagues out there. www.collegelax.us, www.ncll.org, www.greatlakeslax.org. Will the SEC, Big XII, or Pac 10 see lax? only time will tell.
