Georgetown Men's Lacrosse 2007 Season Opener to be Played at Maryland Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex at 3 p.m. on Saturday

Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University men's lacrosse 2007 season opener on Saturday, February 24 has been moved to the Terrapin Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex with a 3 p.m. start time.
The meeting between the teams will be the second game of the day at the venue. The complex will be cleared following the first game and fans must purchase tickets for the Hoya game. Fans need to be aware that due to the size limitations of the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex, tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tickets are available for pre-purchase on-line at www.umterps.com until 5 p.m. on Friday, February 23.
Tickets can also be purchased in advance by calling the Maryland ticket office at 1-800-462-8377 or in person at the Comcast Center ticket office.
Tickets for the game will also be available for purchase at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.
Georgetown, winners of the 2006 ECAC title and five of the last seven league championships, were picked to win the 2007 title in a vote of the conference coaches last month. The Blue and Gray were tabbed No. 5 in the country in the Inside Lacrosse preseason poll and Face-Off Yearbook.
The Hoyas finished the 2006 season with a 12-3 overall record, won the ECAC title for the fifth time in the last seven years and were ranked No. 5 in the country in the final polls by Inside Lacrosse and STX/USILA. The Hoyas reached the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament for the fifth-straight year and for the eighth time in the last nine years.
Georgetown's home opener is slated for Saturday, March 10 against Syracuse at the Multi-Sport Field.
