I think everyone's catching up with recruiting. It's actually a nice change to have a whole competitive division.

Verily, I say unto you: (http://bible.cc/ecclesiastes/9-11.htm)
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

This is nuts, i can't beileve that the projected 1,2,and 3 have lost. Personaly, i think it means that the powers in lacrosse aren't going to stay. It shows how the sport has grown because it has gotten to the point where there are many strong programs, in the future we will see different teams on memorial day weekend.

This just shows the parody in lacrosse. You will now start too see the change in powerhouses. Since all these kids started playing in high school with the new growth of lacrosse we are finally going to see this effect on the collegiate level.
I told you people Delaware should be #1, just wait till we play Albany.

Georgetown wasn't really an underdog man, they were number 4...
And Gtown, Gtown, Gtown, Gtown. Gooo Hoyas.

Duke didn't lose lol. Even though they let Dartmouth score 11 goals. But yeah like Paulvillax24 said atleast most things are even know sort of.

It's too early in the season to start screaming about parity. Wait until each team gets a few games under their belts. If the top teams are meant to be the tops] teams, we'll see it in no time. If it isn't meant to be, then a few digits into the L column will be the verdict you seek. But to say that the top squads suck with the season having barely gotten under way is jumping the gun a bit.

yes...its just you :)
the only MAJOR upset is UVA...
Hop only beat Albany by 2 last year...
Army has beaten cuse before...while it was an upset it was still a top 15 team beating a top 5...still 2 damn good teams...
Gtown was ranked higher than MD going into the game so that is in no sense of the word an upset...that was a better team beating a lower team

nah i think its good. its not good for the growth when the same couple teams are always on top. this shows that more and more talent are coming into the game now, and making it more competitive.

Well i went to the army syracuse game last year and army almost beat them. So it wasnt that big of a surprise that they beat cuse.
The albany beating johns hopkins was a big morale booster for me today since they are my local D1 team so i was pretty happy. I knew they never lost by much by i didnt know today was gonna be there day. Also who knows whats gonna happen when albany takes on syracuse.

Hofstra :naughty:
Yea it seems like now every team in the upper half of D1 has atleast some great players, perfect example Nick Bonacci and Brian Koch of Dartmouth, Dartmouth isn't a great team, btu those two are incredible, They dropped 5 (4,1) and 4 (3,1) points on Duke today. The parity in D1 lacrosse is a new thing, and I personally like it, maybe this year a team thats not Cuse, Princeton, Hop or UVA will win a title.

i see princeton doing well this season over the other top teams. but maryland is adjusting to the new goalie for awhile because harry alford will be out for a while. the other games were just ugly to watch at the end.

Teams lose it's a little early to be saying that they suck but you don't know what is happening with the players. They could have just had off games.

I like it...not that 'Cuse lost, but it will be good to see some other teams in the mix this season, that's if this keeps up. I wouldn't say they suck, maybe the other teams are having good games, but it's defanitly to early to say they suck or anything, because they defanitly don't.

i found it odd and refreshing all at the same time, i love that UNC is a 2-0 at the moment. even though u-mass lost to hofstra, hofstra is playing inspired lacrosse with the death of one of the teamates brother.
i like it that cuse is no longer THE dominant force, the next couple weeks their offense will explode, just watch.
U Albany had an amazing game @ hopkins, i don't think i've seen a better defensive effort out of a team that isn't an ellite 4 team (though those 4 aren't so elite anymore) and their offense was pretty good for most of the game. a hard hitting game, and up and down, awsome play.
duke dartmouth, a great game. the early game jitters on dukes part, and then it was back to kickin' arse, they're defenitly my favorite for the season, they looked GOOD yesterday

not only their teammates brother, but their former teammate
