I got this last week after a month or two of speculation on it. The Phoenix is a great head. No lie it is the same as the Asylum, except 75% cheaper. Same stiffness, scoop, pinch, everything except the sidewall pattern. I am deeming this the best beginner head of the year, except it is not a beginner head. Anyone could use this. To be honest I think this may be my favorite head ever. Ths curves, the pinch, the scoop, it is perfect. I reccomend everyone to pick one up.
Now done with the sales pitch. I strung this up at work today. Really good release, and a really nice looking pocket. The triangle topstring is a little different from how it is supposed to be, but it works. Also threw on a nifty little pullstring on the bottom. Once again I did this from memory, so I am not sure if it is correct, but it serves its purpose well. I might make this my game stick this year. We'll see how my Revo Pro comes out.
And Sorry, no suprise.

Stiff as a Chaos? That's pretty stiff. Stringing looks nice but I would pound a little. And yeah I would look into buying one.
Edit: How light is the Phoenix? About.

Wait, for clarification, I meant asylum. I was jost looking at a chaos, which is why I though that. thanks for pointing it out.
As for the weight, it is not too bad. I will do a 100% full review in a month or so.

decent string job, could be better, very interesting top string thats like 0 lip to the max, and from your channel pic it looks like its off center but maybe its your camera skills.

how's the offset compare to the Asylum. I'd guess that that's where they differ. and that is an absolutely INGENIOUS pullstring. that is absolutely rediculous.

I don't like pull strings at all because normally they are used by people who can't play fairly, but besides that it looks good. Interesting top string. Can't wait to hear more about the head.

it looks pretty deceptive, like the outside two strings are the only ones tied together, but its actually the outer two wrapped around the inner two, and if its pulled tight, it will stay and is really easy to pull and make shallow.

Yeah, the channel is straight. I have good camera skills when the object I am holding is straight, but If I have to hold something at the same time, then no way. The offset is also a little strange. Its like it goes onset, then straight, and then the very fattest part of the sidewall is offset. I do like the face very much though.
Thanks, and keep the C+C coming

Looks good. I thought you were gonna stick with the "R-Basic/ Corner pocket variation"??

Yeah, I am for pole. If I decide to use this for anything with a long stick, I'll probably replace the pocket. IDK though I am partial to this one.
As for the cost, This was 20.00 shipped courtesy of Lax888, the cheapest other place I think is www.battlelax.com and there it is 27.00 plus shipping for an unstrung head.
