That's cool you're taking your english class online. How does that work? I've heard of kids doing that for subjects their school doens't offer but not for something like english.

That sucks. I'm in my senior year and really have no idea what I would do without my academic studies and early dismissal (I have one of those every day). In fact, I kind of question why I bothered taking so many courses, could have cut one out and stilll been fine.
That being said, haven't chosen my courses for next year. That should be fun, my housing is due tomorrow though.

It's impossbile for someone to learn all the conecepts of Spanish 2 and 3 in a year, each course easily requires a year.

Not impossible... I think there was a TV program on a few nights ago where a guy learned a language in a week (obviously he was brilliant though).
That being said, for the most of us regulars, it takes a full year course. Some schools have a block schedule set-up so you take a full year course in one semester (you take spanish every day instead of everyother day, for example), so I could see how it is possible. Also if you take summer course, or have advanced yourself in some other way, you might only need a semester to finish up the year's course. Many explanations for why he can take one semester for each year.

Yea, I am really thinking about dropping AP Stat, because 1) I am taking it because it is an easier AP course and 2) My mom (cough) is forcing me to take two math's.
But my girlfriends has early dismissal every other day because she goes to a school with block scheduling and she's only a junior. Jealous? Definitely, but it just sucks knowing that next year is going to suck.
Eh, This is why I have an appointment with the guidance counselor about colleges and courses and what not so...

I take spanish every day. And I do quite well in it. I just don't think its possible to be able to learn all of spanish 2 and 3, and be good at it, within one year..

Now I'm just starting to think we label our spanish classes differently than you.
If you wouldn't mind sharing what you learned in spanish 2 and 3 that'd be good, that way I could compare that to what level of spanish that is for my school/district/county.

i agree, but i think we probably use the same system, most freshman take spanish 2 this year, after spanish 1 in 7th/8th grade. I'm going to honduras this summer, and will be going to language school and pretty much full immersion, so I'm hoping to skip to spanish 4 next year. But yeah, I didn't even know you could take spanish levels that high in high school.

haha yeah, block scheduling is great. That's what I'm on, getting out of school at 12:15 just makes me wonder how I ever got through high school without having early d. I'm taking 6 AP/IB classes this year, and I still have those two blocks free which is just so nice. I'd recommend having at least one free period, one where you can come in late/leave early is the best.

Do you have block scheduling? There's a huge difference between taking a block class everyday compared to a regular 45 minute class every day...
You're right that's it's probably different in his school, but I have heard of people doing it this way (take a regular full year class in a semester) in districts around mine.

Edit; Apparently not.
I don't think blocks a good idea personnally.
But my old HS had quite the funky schedule.

I don't really want to go off-topic here, but why do you feel this way? Have you had experience with it? Some people who have never been on a block schudule always complain that they could never make it through the 85-90 minute periods. After having been through 4 years of it, I don't see how a 45 minute class could even be productive and after your first quarter, the 85 minutes really idn't all that bad (teacher know how to plan so you're not bored or not doing anything). You get so much more accomplished in your science labs, English discussions and generally just about every other course when you have 85 minutes to get things done without interuptions.

Math B3
Math 12A
Math 12B
American Lit
Health
TV production 1&2 (for the second year)
Chemistry
American History?(not sure of the social studies course)
PE
That's pretty much it, for math I'm doubling up, I'll be taking B3 and one of the 12's at the same time, one of the 12's is the same as pre-calc.
Riot, I'm glad to see you are staying out of trouble, got the avatar back.

I was reading up on it, and it just doesn't seem like it would be good for my personal learning preference, I like shorter classes, it just works for me better.
At my old schol of my freshman year, there was a rotating schedule. I liked it, fourth hour for Freshman/Soph never changed becuase it was homeroom/lunch [Freshman in homeroom first than eat] and for Juinors/Sen. their third hour never changed and other classes rotated around there.
So, like, One day first period would be your first hour, then the next 2nd hour, then 3rd, than 5th, etc. I liked it.

um im trying to remember. basically freshman year, we went over presente, presente progresivo, presente perfecto, preterito, imperfecto, mandatos, futuro cercano, futuro, and condicional. then sophomore year, we read a ton of stories and went further into depth with the stuff we learned freshman year and also learned subjuntivo. then this year weve done a ton of subjuntivo stuff and now we just read random stories all the time. theres probably more stuff, but i cant remember everything weve done.
