This article and ESPN are saying that Jamal Lewis and the Ravens were unable to come to a deal, and because the Ravens will need to pay him $5 million for a roster spot and they don't want to take up that cap room.
An ESPN news analyst says that he is not worth 5 million, but I dont know about that..
This is one of the worst things that the Ravens could do, IMO. He was a physical, quick, and smart runner. Just a few seasons ago he rushed for more than 2,000 yards.
Again, he has had recent injuries so a healthy season could mean a gold mine for a team willing to acquire him.
