This article and ESPN are saying that Jamal Lewis and the Ravens were unable to come to a deal, and because the Ravens will need to pay him $5 million for a roster spot and they don't want to take up that cap room.

An ESPN news analyst says that he is not worth 5 million, but I dont know about that..

This is one of the worst things that the Ravens could do, IMO. He was a physical, quick, and smart runner. Just a few seasons ago he rushed for more than 2,000 yards.
Again, he has had recent injuries so a healthy season could mean a gold mine for a team willing to acquire him.

Ehh, Oh well.
There will be a lot of teams after him.
Maybe my Vikequeens will get them.
Or my new town Lions will.
Who knows, He'd be a good pickup to almost any roster though.

How about to the Giants? But that would be two bruising backs so i dont know how that would work. He could maybe teach Jacobs some tricks as a big back.

nfl.com had a more reliable article...he wasnt released he was waived, another team would have to claim him off waivers, this avoids both hositlities and paying for the roster sport for now...but as it was stated both sides are still in close discussion and talks are going well

yeah on espn they said that the ravens and him might agree on a cheaper contract

w/e... it looks like mike anderson is worth a nice roster spot now in fantasy football
