It was obviously a marketing campaign so that consumers would associate Brine equipment with a top blue-chip player. It was a marketing tactic. Brine invented a player and showed him going through the recruiting process, and being recruited by the top colleges (message: use Brine --> be this good). After a while, some kids thought he was real and so e-lacrosse played on that and did an imaginary interview.

i remember this story, i believed it at first. i dont know why they thought it was a good idea.......brine thinking,"hmm i think we could get more business by making up a fake player", sounds like a pretty crappy marketing ploy to me

i thought about it like last week, it was pretty funny bc in the elax interview this kid aparently ripped 2 nets together in one practice like they had one goal inside the other and he ripped a shot through both nets (obviously didnt sound real bc david evans didnt even do this and he shoots what 96 mph or whatever, maybe its possible if the nets were like .5 thick or somthing, either wait it didnt make sense that elax would be in it with them since elax heavily supports stx products...wierd, but it was so funny remembering that haha good times

Even if Brine knew no one would believe it...just look in all the lacrosse boards and their archives...it stirred up alot of discussion...buzz sells
