I'm not really sure what media player your using, but I think I might know what the problem is. The same thing was happening to me when I was trying to watch videos on lax.com. If you right click on the media player when it is playing and go to options you should see a bar that is labeld video acceleration. If you turn that all the way down, your videos should play fine. If this doesnt work then it must be your internet. No matter how fast a computer you have, if your connection speed is slow, your interent will be slow.

youtube doesnt run off a media player. It's its own site.

Yeah youtube requires a plugin to play videos. I think just flashplayer, which most sites use so either your computer will have it already or you download it pretty much right away.

you need to allow it to buffer. if you look at the little slider thing on the bottom it should be kind of a transparent red, instead of grey. that means its buffered and will play seemlessly.

Same thing to me. Pause it and wait 20 secs or so. then play. it wasnt buffered

Its buffering, your just not loading the full clip faster than the play speed
