I am looking to buy a new car deck that is compatible with my Ipod. Aside from other methods, there appears to be 3 main choices:

1. Headphone style auxilary jack
2. Rear RCA inputs
3. USB port

The first kind seems to be the cheapest, but it appears that the USB port is worth the extra money because it will also power/charge your Ipod? Is that true? I would rather pay the extra money to get a USB port deck than have to buy a cigarette charger as well.

Which method has the best sound quality? Or are they equal? It would seem to me that the USB port one would but I don't really know much about car audio.

Just get an alpine ipod ready deck and a $20 ipod cord.

Allows you to control your ipod through your deck.

Thanks guys. I had no idea what Ipod Ready decks were....so I didn't even know enough to list it as an option. I ended up buying a Panasonic Ipod Ready Deck CQ-C5403.
