I am just starting lacrosse as a freshman and I just got new stx g-force gloves. It is the first time i ever bought gloves and they seem really stiff and seem to have no grip at all to the point where i cant even cradle with my stick. Are they good gloves, will they get better, and how can i make them better, or shud i just return them?
All help would be greatly appreciated!

You can use griptape on your shaft but some tapes are bad for your gloves so choose the right one.

wait by first time buying gloves do you mean that it is the first time you have used gloves before? If so, you just have to get used to it. Getting used to doing everything in gloves takes some time.
G Forces are very nice gloves and are very flexible but you have to break them in first. I would not advise you to return them. You just have to work them in by playing wallball, moving the fingers around, etc.

just wear them around when your doing everyday stuff. gloves must be gettin used to. Once you are comfortable with them they start becoming nice and flexible. Once you use your gloves enough you'll love em. Im assuming that gforces are good, not tried one on b4

a new pair of gloves is like buying a new baseball glove at first they're both stiff. after awhile they tend to loosen up. whenever you are goofing around or playing catch with your stick put your gloves on the more time spent with them on the more it'll feel like your not wearing them.

Pour some water on the palms of the gloves before you use them. Trust me, it will make your gloves stick to any shafts. I have G-Forces and thats what I do. But, this advice was pointless if you havnt broken them in yet.

Throw some tape on that shaft. Make sure it isn't black or electrical tape. Any sports tape will work great.
As for pouring water on your gloves, I wouldn't recommend that since it might make the palms even more stiff over time.
