Any word on the Asylum? [Archive]

Any word on the Asylum? I have only seen a couple stringings here and not much input about it. Anyone know how it is? It seems very similar to the torque though. How is it? Anyone have it?
I need a backup stick. All I have is my Razer 2.0 and I am trying to decide whether the I should get the Asylum or Clutch. So and info should help, thanks.

Why not go with what everyone has said is great on here. I mean the clutch has proven to be a good head so why risk buying the asylum?

The asylum is the hot head on my team and they basically encourage you to buy it like it's their religion. Gait makes good stuff it has very flared sidewalls and very deep ones too with a lot of pinch but will still be legal next year. I'm going to pick up one pretty soon as well. Haven't gotten to throw around with one yet but it's only attacks that have it so far.

The asylum is amazing. I bought one and LOVED it before christmas, then bought a clutch and forgot about my asylum. I started using it for D the last couple of games, and i'm probably gonna retire my clutch to backup and buy another asylum for my game. The head is amazing.

It has a great pinch, using a flare and a reverse flare throughought most of the head (not like the helix, you'd get it if you played with it. The pinch is unique, but amazing. It is an absolulte beast also. Pokechecks have no give, slap checks on the side have very little. The scoop is not lik ethr torque, its the only downfall of this head. Doesn't have massive lip issues, but its awkward to scoop with.

Also, i broke a kids shaft with my asylum today. Slapp checked him, my head broke his shaft. Was a little warped after, but i pushed it back and its straight now, i lvoe it!

Edit-Larkin, the asylum doesn't need to be pinched. Has crazy control.

I'm actualy a faceoff midfielder, but I plan D occasioanlly. Don't have any D, so i've been filing it in.

The asylums deffinatly a good offensive head though.

You really wont be disapointed with either head, i Love them both.

I say buy a phoenix which is pretty much Identical to the Asylum, and save the extra 40.00

And now I just came up with another problem. I remembered gait is coming out with that Thrust head, which I thought looks pretty ill. So hmmmm...

Yeah I live in Staten Island new york, :( The closest shop was one in jersey, which was about a half an hour away, but it closed down. I don't drive and my mom never wants to drive me to another shop cause now the closest one is like an hour or so away.

ive been thinking the same thing, between the clutch and the asylum. both of them are beastly strong. the only things i dont like about the asylum is that it looks kinda chunky, and the scoop looks awkward, like it would get alot of lip if you dont string it right. the clutch looks kinda boring to me though, its just a standard head with a great pinch and strength, theres nothing really special about it. im kinda leaning twards the asylum because i play D, but for more offense the clutch might be better.

my coach has an asylum head. it's freggin sick. and a lot different from the torque.
very stiff for f/o. also has nice flared sidewalls.

danmit, i was about to say, "I think I'm gonna go with the cltuch" than I read your post. I hear so many good things about both heads.

I like the clutches pinch a little more, but I like the way the scoop looks on the Asylum, kinda like that V-shape. hmmmmm.
