yesterday i finished stringing a shook shakedown in my bionic. i put this pocket in because the head came with a 6 diamond monster mesh. i was not very please with the monster mesh, it didn't suit my tastes very well. it acted like it had a ton of whip (threw straight at the ground) without the whip look. i later figured out it was because of the shooting strings, so i fidled around with that for awhile, and was still not too please with the results. so i went out and got some leathers, and threw in the shook shakedown. the pocket itself didn't take long to string, but getting the pocket to the right depth was a different story. that took 30 minutes to an hour to tweek it just right. right now it's got the deepest legal pocket i've ever had or seen. it has incredible ball control and throws pretty good to. it really does have a unique feel while throwing, from the cubes. and it has a very very very quick release. it would probably be best on a head that doesn't have that quick release, cause the ball leaves the head at about the peak of my throw. some may like this, it doesn't bother me at all so i'm getting use to it. thowing sidearm is a dream, since it has this very noticable quick release, it leave the head at the right time, every time. it's a very predictable pocket, and so far i'm pleased with the results. i'll keep filling in as i finish up breaking in the pocket. I'll add pictures as soon as i can upload them to an online server

I got a friend of mine to restring my Hype with some kind of custom pocket. Originally i wanted a Mesh X in it. He suggested the Shakedown. I told him to suprise me with it although the Revolving deorr looks promising too. He'll probably end up doing a combination of things. Hopefully it all comes out to be a good defensive pocket. Anything has to be better then the crap Trady in their at the moment

Well, I've done many many many different pockets. Most of which were complete and total failures, but I ave had two work out for me that were custom. This one and the Hemp one for my Quark. Now, before this one, I have not had access to leathers to make my pockets with. So I dealt with really think nylons, thin nylons, even hockey laces to make my pockets with *which would explain why most of my pockets were failures*.
I'm planning on playing attack/middy, but I have not accually played on an organized team yet. I can't wait for the tryouts to roll around, it should be alot of fun.
And thanks for the kind words on the pocket guys

Alright, after two days of testing, I'm keeping this pocket. It's simply awesome. I've had to do no tweaking to the shooting strings at all, or any of the others for that matter. I have had to redo the brace strings holding the twisties in their spot on the leathers. I didn't do them tight enough or something because they moved around quite a bit. So I've redone those along with putting hair spray on it, so it's not going anywhere anytime soon. I'd fully suggest doing this pocket if you like a quick release or great ball hold. One of the quirks about this pocket is it's innability to absolutely crank a sidearm shot. I'm going to figure out why it's doing that, but at the moment, it doesn't bother me. Overhead shots are a dream and you can really crank those, though. So in the end, i guess it evens out. If you do a semi-hard toss sidearm you can get it very accurate, but it's the cranking that it doesn't want to do. If anyone has any questions about it, please ask, I'd love to answer some questions.
