He must have had a fun time stretching that mesh to do closed sidewall.

I agree...Its semi hard to get a good pocket with plain hard mesh.
And...
That's a hard mesh goal-ex pocket.

wrong. thats the 17d goal ex. the normal one other than 12 is 20d i think. i think you need to ask them for the 17d version because ive tried the 17d and its very hard. i think you need a special kind of 17d, like brines mid-monster goalie or something. one of the companies makes a goalie kit with a wider 17d.

Nemiman, I don't know how he plays, but i would guess he pops his bottom hand out to cushion the ball.

its easy to string a closed sidewall pocket with 17D, i can probably do it in an eclipse with my eyes closed. It just takes a stringer who knows how to string a good hard mesh pocket since its basicly the same thing.
also i bet no one else noticed the 2/3 weaved U with the flat line being rolled.

nahh. He said he strung it, heres the email he sent me
That was a hard mesh that I used last year. The sides and top are the same that we always do here. I had three rolled shooters and one u shaped one. Then I had one extra hard nylon one to provide some snap. This year, I’m going to try the 12 diamond with the two shooters. It’s much lighter and hopefully will catch a lot better. Sorry, the only pictures I have are the ones that you see online.
