I got it and it's GREAT!
I'll do a review but just to tie you over...
-There's a TON of holes for stringing, makes the stringing very versatile.
-Stopping area about the size of the Eclipse.
-Very light. Seriously.
-A bit stiff for me, but not too stiff.
-Throws accurately.
I'll probaly do a review by Monday with pictures and all. Anything you want me to put in the review specifically?

if u could put how the balance and weight for it, and throwing, stringing it, stiffness, PICS :)
because my goalmaster just broke
and i have a gaurdian but those are flimbsy or at least mine is
and this stick looks just like an eclipse except for it had a smaller neck so you can grab onto it and get ur hand closer the the head and also keep the head form turning when u piece a shot

ok heres a quick review
VERY LIGHT 10/10 best part of the stick
shaped kind of strange/ hard to get the top of a 10d pocket just right
handels more like a shorty than a goalie head, more forgiving allows for 3/4 passes to cut it
pretty stiff head but has a goofy viberation when hit by the ball 8/10
throat 7/10 good grip but not on the same level at the setinal
what else do you want to know?

it's different looking at a store's picture and one that's actually been strung in a way that's usable.

i will tell you one thing. you should adjust that topstring and put the mesh infront of the head instead of behind. thatll help with any possible lip, whip, and some channeling issues you may have with it.

Shape and offset reminded me of the Money, so basically I don't like it.
Does anyone else feel like all the Brine goalies sticks almost tilt forward? It's a really odd feeling to play with one after having used an Eclipse.
laxgoalie34
03-25-2007, 08:18 PM
why would i want the mesh tighter? i think im gonna leave it it feels fine. and i dont think it feels odd after using an eclipse. id say the eclipse tilts forward more than the eraser
laxgoalie34
03-26-2007, 04:51 PM
i take that back the eclipse doesnt tilt forward but i still think the eraser feels more comfortable cause its slightly offset

hey all, first time being on here in forever. anyway i have the Brine Eraser. been using it now for like 2 weeks and playing in one game with it(like 13 practices too). anyway i can also write a review if you want with pics and all. i have been like a died hard Nemesis fan since it came out but so far the Eraser is not bad. one problem i have been having with it. no matter how i string it, it seems to have a fare to massive amount of whip. i not like a newbie at stringing. i work for a ComLax store so thats like me job. like i said this might be the first brine goalie head that is actually good. oh and it is wicked light. with an db803 its like perfectly balanced. atleast i think.
laxgoalie34
03-27-2007, 06:46 PM
today was the first time i used mine at practice it is so much lighter than an eclipse but once it started to get broken in it has a huge whip
goalieskcickay
03-27-2007, 06:51 PM
That is related mostly to the stringing, not the head itself.

goalieskcickay. not to like argue cuz your a Mod. but the Eraser has a sudden offset then the head twilts forward. if you have a head that has a strong degree of twilt it will natural have more whip. the twilt is nice for ground balls but makes the ball come out at a hard angle. so yes stringing it a different way would help but the head itself does create natural whip. i own one and will get a review up soon.

Haha don't worry about arguing with a mod as long as you keep it polite and reasonable. Point in fact, that's the rule of thumb for debating with any member.
I see where you're coming from, but I strung one up with 14d and it was fine for me...
It is very possible that the shape and/or offset contributes to the way a stick throws, but what I meant was that in my experience the way it is strung generally affects the throwing more than simply the shape.

I have an Eraser on an Axe C405, and I love it. I have used this, the Eclipse, and the Nemesis in practice (only the Eraser in the game) and the Eraser is, to me, the best of the three. It's so much lighter and it just feels better in my hands. It's got the perfect amount of flexibillity, and a nice feature is a TON of sidewall holes for easy stringing. It's only hangup is a weird little vibration that happens when you get a hard shot dead into the center of the pocket. A little expensive, but worth it. Other than that, it's the best I've ever used, in my opinion, here are some pics.

Dont mean to quarrel, but that is most definatly 12d...
Nice stringing, im seriously considering getting one of these bad boys.

To EndlesFimbulvet: You are 100% correct about the mesh, it is in fact 12d..my apologies, must have counted wrong the last time heh. I would definetely get one if I were you, this stringing is trash compared to what you can whip up using all these sidewall holes...possibilities are endless, this is just a quick job.
Now, for PqLaxGoalie.. the hierarchy in my eyes goes Eraser > Nemesis + Eclipse > Sentinel > Everything else... but thats just me. Depending how you play and what you like and such you might want to go with the stick best suited for your style of play. Ask someone at your local shop or something..or just tell us, what's your playing style, what would you like in a head, have you played before, things like that. Personally I would go Eraser, but Eclipse is right up there with it for best all around.

i am defanitaly looking for a head that i can make zippy quick passes, a little lighter than a nemesis?? I also like a deeper pocket than most other goalies. Another HUGE thing is i am looking for a head a little on the cheaper side. If im going to pay $90 for a head then it better last me all 4 years through high school

What did you read a review of the eraser as you wrote that? Tons of sidewall holes lets you string up monster pocket, however you want, very easy. I am convinced the design makes it throw great, but nevertheless it has very little natural whip...if you get some, then tighten the top shooting string. It is the lightest head out there I think...yes it's a little expensive, but order it with no mesh to save money then string it yourself, get a friend to do it or a company or something..have them string you a pocket just how you like, again it's really easy with this bad boy. So far no durability problems..preseason, offseason, 3 games and a ton of practices and wallball this year and so far not even a major scratch. Hasn't bent, warped, etc.. I can picture not buying another head for quite a while. I would make the investment. But be warned- its not perfect (only one complaint: slight and i mean slight rattle when hit with hard shots in just the right spot.) and there could be another head out there you like better, its all personal preference. Oh and another thing to keep in mind.......a good stick doesnt matter as much as the person behind it, im sure you will do fine with any stick you get. Good luck!

thanks Chicken i have defanitly decided to get the eraser.. I hope its a decision i wont regret. THANKS!
I got the Eraser and it sat around for a couple weeks (planned on it being my back up stick).... but yesterday I strung it and used it today and I LOVE it. Definitely my new game stick. I love the amount of holes on the sidewalls I can use to make my pocket DEEP even without using all of them. It is a little whippy but thats my fault mostly on the string job. It picks up groundballs very well...No it's not VERY stiff (stiffer than my Eclipse) but I am not a boy so that is not really a problem..
Anyways I love it and definitely recommend it... any Q's let me know.

im kinda interested
i really dont like the scoop on it though
played with an eclipse for 1 year, nemesis for 3 and there's a reason for it.
i love the nemesis' scoop too, i don't like the more flat scoop which is what im worried about with pickin up an eraser

I would have to say that the Nemesis is probly the stiffest head out ther, much more so than a sentinel!! This contributes to the nemy's heavy weight but when balanced out it works fine. I know this is about the eraser, but lets not rule out the nemy for best of the best!
oh and another thing what about the gaurdian im gonna make an new thread

i don't really know a head that wil last you 4 years of high school, in about 2 years, your goalie heads will break, crack whatever, they just don't last taht long... trust me on that one.
ehh i prefer the nemesis, BUT i have only used the eraser in like a few pick up games and like goofing around whereas i have used the nemesis for 2 years, BUT let me tell you, the eraser is WAY light. which might be good. or bad. I like to have a bit of extra weight on the head so the centrifical force will carry the head to where i need it, also, after using it, the eraser feels somewhat "fragile" the eraser will definatly not last you all 4 years. period. only heads that MIGHT would be eclipse/nemesis. other then taht, i have seen sentinals break (althought ihave never used one, i have seen two break at a tourney) i have seen moneys crack, but other then that, all three heads seem nice (the eclipse, nemesis, eraser) those all seem like great heads, just becareful about durability on the eraser.
