ok, now that I'm a junior....this summer is going to be critical for recruiting....anybody else facing this? What are some of you doing to get involved in the process....also it would be nice to hear about some of your college choices...I know there is a recruiting forum, but I want to keep this strictly about wlax...so no guys please....thx

and those seniors that have committed to play next year please share your experience and the school you will be playing for....love to hear how many of our group make it to the next level.....

Wll I am a senior in college and I played lax right through college, but i was not looking to get recruited because I only started to play lacrosse my jr year in high school. So I attended a D3 college that had both field hockey and lacrosse. I am in my senior year now of lacrosse and it was a great expereince. It is a lot of commitment but if you set your mind to it you can do it. I am a nursing major and I am the only student in the history of the program to play 2 sports so it can be don but it does depend on where you are going and if you feel you can make the commitment but it is a great experience and I would not have traded it for the world.

I'm kind of in the same situation as you Alax. Well not entirely, but I just started play lacrosse my junior year (i'm a senior now), and I'm also playing at a D3 school next year. I'm playing at york college, and lacrosse has only been there for a few years so it works out well for me. Even though there lacrosse team has only won a few games and is D3... I'm still very nervous! hah
But yeah I just filled out a prospective althete question thing on the site, and then the coach emailed me. After that I answered a few more questions and set up a date to meet her. And now I just email her every once in a while.
I'm sure it is a lot more complicated if you want to play for a D2 or D1 school, but it seems like D3 is pretty chill.

Good luck with everything...Ya D3 is great I love it! My old coach moved on to coach D2 and she said it is a different atmosphere...but she is a D1 quality coach. I think D3 is just the same amount of commitment you just play for the love of the game and nothing more
