View Full Version : Harrow Freeze (More Pics)

I have a friend (goalie37)'s freeze that im stringing and decided to take some pics just to have some up here for people to look at, and I'll do a brief (like really brief) overview of it.

Its pretty much the same length as a nemi on a 40" shaft.


Face reminds me of a money slightly. (I dont know why)

It has a pretty deep sidewall...Offset/sidewall shape reminds me of a combo of the nemi and x-treme.

Its really light...almost too light for me.

Also it cant flex at all, which could lead to trouble.


Another thing I spotted when stringing it is that the head is indeed hollow...I kept getting strings stuck inside the scoop. :thinking:

The worst thing i can spot is that after (I think hes been using it for a week?) , there are 2 decent sized cracks on the scoop already, which could be very bad.

hmm... hollow head eh, that can't really be good, it could snap if it gets hit with a good shot

how would you say it is for stringing?

The sidewalls are incredibly thick...Seems like theyre just begging for open sidewall...


And yeah, they do look similar to Nemesis' holes.

If it had open sidewalls, it wouldnt last 5 shots. It's already cracked on the scoop, I couldn't imagine what would happen to an open sidewalled composite head.

yeah i messed with one in my local store last week and i hated it..you cant pick up GB's without getting the stick horizontal to the ground. and it just feels weird to me. and its pretty expensive i mean its 215 at my store and thats outrageous especially becuase it obviously cracks easily

I was thinking of getting one, but after seeing this, it wonder how strong it is.... My harrow goal shaft is wonderful, but I think this goalie shaft/head that harrow just made is a big flop. I think its for more of novice players because A good 50-70 mph shot could easily snap or break in half the shaft.

In my opinion, but thats a good stringing right there. Anyone would recomend the jimalax goalie kit?

I wouldnt recomend it, but I believe they sell them in two lengths, a full sized length and a shorter version.

You can cut it down i cut mine down about 3 or 4 inches

Ya its not that hard to cut it down, just cut it from the bottom. Personally i couldnt see myself using the freeze becasue i like to mix and match.

Yes, just like a harrow h2 is a mix between an evo pro and a proton power. In other words, it's not really a mix between an eclipse and nemesis.

It isn't even made out of the same material...

The Harrow rep compared it too the two most popular goalie heads on the market... what a suprise.

I finished the stringing...It'll be up in the Lounge in a bit.
