View Full Version : [experiment] 'Softer' Shooters

When my sticks get used and abused, sometimes the shooters get stretched out and they flick the ball harder, making it more rigid and segmented when you throw...
I like the smooth release, no matter how old a pocket is.. so far, this is working--

Weave a shooter like normal, and with the long excess of the string, go back through the same row of diamonds once then tie off on opposite end. it make's it fatter/wider, and a more gradual release..
just a tip. i've been using it in my games (the bottom mini pic) and i really like it, maybe someone else would.

So you weave it twice through the same row? Can't hurt to try.

well it's not twice.. if you think about it, a normal weaved shooter has a weave done 2 times.. here, i say do those 2 the same, then run it once more (so it's like a 1/2 done normal shooter)... i haven't tried doing it 2 full times in 1 diamond set.

do a regular weave then you would just weave it through once, and not weave over it. i see how it is. thats interesting, i might try that out.

why don't you just weave another shooter in the row between the ones already there? seems like you'd get the same effect.

and just to throw an idea out there, you could have a really long piece of shooter and weave it the first time making sure that one side is longer, and the weave the longer side back.
