Goalies, Have you ever scored and how did you do (dodge)(give and go)
If haven't, How far have you been up field?

This wouldn't really count, but for an instructional indoor league that I play in, we play in this small gym and so our best player was goalie and I was the other goalie, and he just cradled and ran through my whole team and then did something and scored. It was pretty cool. But in field, goalie hasnt come out too far, only a couple yards at most.

The farthest i've ever been is midfeild. My coach yelled at me if I went any farther.

Ive never scored...I used to play in the crease a lot, I would rarely go past the restraining box. Now I play a lot more out of the cage, but my only real "dodge" if you can call it that, is carrying the pizza and outrunning my defender.

Ive score in indoor, but never outdoor. Its too hard, and someone is bound to draw to you anyway so you should just dump it off.

In my scriamge the other day I was in the other teams box 3 times, had an assist, should've had another but my teammate dropped it right in front of their cage, and the last time I slowed it down and just passed the ball. I will score this year I promise, but we were killing this team so I didn't want to try it.

I have never scored or even gone past the line of scrimmage. I will probably try to score when we play lacrosse in gym.

I've scored in indoor. It was a gym, so it was pretty easy. Anyways, I just face dodged this kid and put it bottom left corner.

On field day last year...I had a couple guys bring full gear, and we played like a full contact game, and I scored once from the goal (running up), and once just throwing it from my goal to the other...That one was funny. (But, we were playing on a really short field)

I scored during my first few games (I don't remember which game it was) as a goalie in middle school. I ran it up to half field, lobbed it at the goal, and scored because the goalie wasn't paying attention.

I know this is the wrong sport, but yesterday, Paul Robinson of the Tottenham Hotspurs made a free kick from 80 yards out and scored. Amazing.

i have scored ONCE...but has been my most glorest day......i practice a simple face dogde all the time casue its REALLY nice to know how to do in clears and such but this is how i did it .....i faked an out let and toke it to their restraing line with some speed had to use 2 face dodges and with a lil off side hip bouncer....that wasnt even the best part it was the celebration my whole team ran on the feild casue after all it was the game winner...no joke

i havent scored before, but this year i am going to try almost every single game to run it up and score. i had a shot on goal playing a 7 v 7 game on a small field, but the other goalie saved it.

the farthest i have ever gotten in an outdoor game was the other restraining line (not the one where my d is, but the one where my attack is)

You really shouldnt try and score, becasue its not your job to do that. You can also potentially hurt your team. Your better off drawing the man the dumping it. Someones going to be open if you run it up that far becasue everyone is going to jump you.

ive gone all the way before (on a few separate occasions :nahya: )

coaches dont really advise it at all. ive been in situations where i got to the other side then got leveled and lost the ball. then your screwed, and your coach will hit you after they score. ive only done it when were up by a lot.

i scored at camp one summer at unc.... it was a brave heart and the last game of the day so everyone was watching.... we lost the opening faceoff but the guy came down and faked low went high... i stuffed it popcorn style caught the ball then ran down field and faked high and shot a worm burner.... it was sweet, the camp erupted...

i dont liek gloating about it and bragging, but i basically embarassed another goalie once. i got a nice 6 or 7 yard windup onstick low, then took the 4 seconds, passed it, then ran with the pole that had the ball. he drew 2 guys, tossed it back to me, and i took off. i roll dodged 2 middies and bull dodged another one. then i came in and faked high, faked low, then went to fake low again but did my version of the around the world shot which is a shot from behind the hip instead of the shoulder, and got him 5 hole. i was proud that day, then i ran in excitement and fell down and people laughed and cheered at the same time.

goalies in games who run out are asking for it. if the goalie is moving the ball I know I will do my best to make him drop it, just so I can TRY and plow him. It is SOOO risky but sweat if a goalie does anything offensively.

I scored on ATTACKMAN17 ONCE, but uh it was a small bootleg scrimmage and no one was paying attention....OOOOO0o0o0o0o00o0o or did I.... I can't remember - those were the pre goalie camp days.... I sucked so bad..

one time the goalie from the other team ran it up during a scrimmage in like 8th grade, and he was pretty cocky, so he dodged 2 guys, and was definetly think of scoring

so i did the reasonable thing and hit him. I think he landed on his hand wrong and sat the rest of the game out, plus, we scored on our ensuing possesion with ease.

funny stuff

well not for him, but yeah goalies..stay on your side of the field

I never have, because it's almost never a good decision to run up that far, and if you can it's probably unsportsmanlike. In previous years, I probably could have if I wanted to, but I never have had the opportunity in close games, and it's not a cool thing to do in a blow-out. It's not sportsmanlike to add insult to injury against a goalie who is already getting pounded by having the opposing goalie run up and score on him.

If you're going to do it in a tight game, you better be the fastest kid on the field, because otherwise you will get leveled. Also, your coach will probably kill you if you lose possession. My coach this year yells at me if I go more than a dozen yards or so out of the crease.

I have scored 3 times during the regular season, my best doge is the bull doge. I just truck through the weak middies and rip for a corner if im one on one

I've almost managed to score on last second Gilmans one barely went over the net and another bounced funny and just missed wide, kinda makes you wonder about the opposing goalie when a ball gets past them like that. but as to going upfeild i have only gone about half way between my restraining box and the midfeild line

I've never scored myself, but my middle school coach used to be a goalie and in a rec league pick-up game he had 2 goals and 1 assist. The funny part though was that his team lost 15-3 and he was the leading scorer.

im not a goalie, but my goalie's goal is to score (field, jv team though).

i really dont doubt that he can do it, because (i play for a really bad lacrosse school) he can do face, split and spin dodges, and is faster than all but 2 of our short sticks (he actually runs with us unlike our varsity goalie), and he is really determined, so i think if we get up by a good margin then he will take it

Yup...You did. That was they day Alex nailed me in the head with a shot from about 2 feet with no helmet on.

But, it went in the net. If I had any pads on at all, I'd have tried a bit harder.

i scored last summer in NJ, but ive gotten a ton of assists from passin it from the top of the box, even ight handed (im a lefty)...but i usually throw a fake and the person does a 360 then run by everyone, or face dodge, or spin, playin in the field helps me alot

I've only scored once and it was a couple weeks ago and all i did was try to clear it to the attack but i over threw it and in went right into the goal because the goalie wasn't paying attention
