so i want to buy a wooden shaft, none of these fiber glass core ones, but a real full wood shaft for nasty checking and added weight etc.
i was thinking of hickorylacrosse.com
they seem pretty legitamate
can anyone tell me if the website is good or any other good websites with wood shafts
no offense but im not interested in home made shafts

i say go with red devil on ebay too. you may hate ebay, but if you want a great woodie, this is the place.
about a year ago i bought one of their shafts for 22 dollars. it snapped after 6 months during a summer game. 6 months is a long life for a shaft, especially a woodie. i waved off the snap as if it was inevitable and hung the shaft on my wall. about 2 months later i realized that there might be a warranty. so i emailed the company, telling them how i bought their shaft a while ago and it broke. i asked about a warranty/replacement and even offered to take pictures of the broken shaft or send it in as proof of it breaking. instead they said all was fine and they sent me another shaft absolutely free of charge. i didnt have to pay a dime. i recieved the shaft in the mail 2 days after i got the email from them asking for my adress. they have some of the best customer service and their shafts are incredible. i am still using the second one they sent me, playing high school varsity level and it is still holding up very strongly. so if i were to recommend any wooden shaft, i have had my share, this is by far my favorite and the company is so easy to deal with. despite your hard feelings toward ebay, i strongly suggest you go against them and purchase from Red Devil.
